oo2. [video]

[This time, Conan's sitting at the desk in his room. The desk is too high for him, so he's comandeered a couple of cushions from the Hel living room sofa to prop himself up. He's got his notebook in front of him, and is sitting pertly at his desk, every inch the little kid playing at being important. The cheery wave, kind of undoes that impression a little, but even that is intentional -- there's a very fine line between precocious child and what the heck, and Conan is trying his best not to be obvious.]

Remember I asked everyone three days ago if they were important to their world? A couple of people asked me to share what answers I got but then there were snowmen and I kind of got a little distracted but I'm ready now! Um, these are just the trends I noticed, so if you know something that'd contradict them, help us out by telling us! Any theories or plans we make here are only as good as our data!

So um -- most of the people brought here by the gods consider themselves important to that world. Of that group, I noticed there were lots of people who described themselves as members or commanders of armies, armadas or peacekeepers -- which for the small group I interviewed was kind of a surprise! We also have a few celebrities, particularly in entertainment! I guess it's not difficult to see how they'd get our captors' attention ...

There was a second group of people who had connections to someone or something important in their world! I noticed that the majority of members of this group used their skills to help out the important person or thing, so it might be that experience that caught the attention of our hosts!

There was only one person who didn't consider themselves important or have any connections to anything important -- Not-important-niichan, you forgot to introduce yourself properly! Tell me your name, okay? And everyone else I haven't talked to yet! It'd help us a lot!

Also, I think it'd be a good idea to make a list of people comfortable with the technology in the halls and those who need a teacher! Maybe if you need help you can reply saying what house you're in, what you'd like explained, and what skills you have, and people who can help can reply saying what they can do and what they're curious about, and we might be able to match people up! I think it'd be a good idea, anyway, before someone electrocutes themselves.

And what was the last thing ... oh, right! Tell us what welcome hall you're staying in too! Thank you!

[A small smile.]

Oh, and I've been helping as many people as I can with the kitchen, since it's the most dangerous area. But I don't mind helping more people.

A kid? [You do know the way to her heart.] Do you know how old?

I'm in Heimdall, but I can travel if I have to. I'm sure the kitchens are all the same.

Ten years old... so many kids here. [A shake of her head.

You can point out any time that she couldn't possibly be older than thirteen. If the mood strikes.]

[Just a smidge defensive.]

I'm thirteen.

Well, yeah, but... my mom worked really weird hours, so I learned how to take care of myself. I'm alright on my own.

[And now a hint of sadness. Emotionally, she's not alright at all.]

[A sad little smile.] Really?

[identity profile] agoodfamily.livejournal.com 2011-12-24 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
She sounds like a good person.

But you said there's no one here to take care of you, so... she's not here, is she? [So, so sad for you.]
