oo2. [video]
[This time, Conan's sitting at the desk in his room. The desk is too high for him, so he's comandeered a couple of cushions from the Hel living room sofa to prop himself up. He's got his notebook in front of him, and is sitting pertly at his desk, every inch the little kid playing at being important. The cheery wave, kind of undoes that impression a little, but even that is intentional -- there's a very fine line between precocious child and what the heck, and Conan is trying his best not to be obvious.]
Remember I asked everyone three days ago if they were important to their world? A couple of people asked me to share what answers I got but then there were snowmen and I kind of got a little distracted but I'm ready now! Um, these are just the trends I noticed, so if you know something that'd contradict them, help us out by telling us! Any theories or plans we make here are only as good as our data!
So um -- most of the people brought here by the gods consider themselves important to that world. Of that group, I noticed there were lots of people who described themselves as members or commanders of armies, armadas or peacekeepers -- which for the small group I interviewed was kind of a surprise! We also have a few celebrities, particularly in entertainment! I guess it's not difficult to see how they'd get our captors' attention ...
There was a second group of people who had connections to someone or something important in their world! I noticed that the majority of members of this group used their skills to help out the important person or thing, so it might be that experience that caught the attention of our hosts!
There was only one person who didn't consider themselves important or have any connections to anything important -- Not-important-niichan, you forgot to introduce yourself properly! Tell me your name, okay? And everyone else I haven't talked to yet! It'd help us a lot!
Also, I think it'd be a good idea to make a list of people comfortable with the technology in the halls and those who need a teacher! Maybe if you need help you can reply saying what house you're in, what you'd like explained, and what skills you have, and people who can help can reply saying what they can do and what they're curious about, and we might be able to match people up! I think it'd be a good idea, anyway, before someone electrocutes themselves.
And what was the last thing ... oh, right! Tell us what welcome hall you're staying in too! Thank you!

Is magic pretty common where you're from?
no subject
Magic can't be used by everyone, but it's used a lot to keep things running... I think.
no subject
Can you give me an example?
no subject
And I'm not really sure about the second question...
no subject
Okay, um ... I got it! What kind of things does magic do in your world? Is that better?
no subject
[You. You keep telling yourself that, Hibiki.]
It can do lots of things. There are healing spells, and spells that make things, and spells to protect yourself, and spells to make homunculi...
no subject
That sounds pretty similar to--Homunculi?
no subject
Umm... I don't understand them completely, but Shi-chan always called herself a living weapon. But she looks like a normal little girl to me...
no subject
Did you ever see Shi-chan do anything ... weapon-like?
no subject
Shi-chan looked normal, but she could make weapons whenever she wanted. Sometimes it caused a lot of trouble...
no subject
Make weapons? Out of what?
no subject
She made them out of the magic she was made out of, so she wasn't allowed to use her powers very much.
no subject
Huh ... so magic can be like a material? Interesting ...
no subject
[Suddenly this doesn't sound so good after all... now she's kind of worried.]
Ah- yes. You can make things out of it, like homunculi or... or melon bread.
no subject
...
We have melon bread in Tokyo! But not made from magic.
no subject
We have normal melon bread, too. But I once met a person who made it with magic.
no subject
That sounds pretty interesting!
((ooc: Sorry for the slow reply! I lost this comment >_< ))
no subject
Oh, I see! I am not sure if my home has anything like that...
And the melon bread... Well, it was a little more complicated than that. I don't think I could call it interesting after what happened.
no subject
[... this ... does not sound like a story with a happy ending.] Ah.

Huh -- I wonder ... could the reason you were chosen from amongst a group of magic-users is that you don't know magic? Would that make you unusual?
