[ The video feed turns on to show a purple-haired teenager in Freyr's house. The feed turning on causes the girl on the screen to jump slightly, as if she's startled. ]

Oh! Oh, it's working. [ Deep breath, Ellen. Okay. Okay. You got this.

She smiles nervously for a moment, holding up a paper in her hands. She seems to have clenched her hands and wrinkled the paper, but she makes her best attempt to smooth it.

And then, in a tone that makes it obvious that she's reading right off of the paper, she begins to speak. ]

Hello everyone. My name is Ellen Kurokawa. I'm a fairy from Major Land, though I lived in Minor Land and then Earth before arriving here. I love music and making new friends, though I don't really know much about making friends. I hope I can be friends with all of you.

[ She lowers the paper, looking nervous. Did she do well there? Did she do everything right this time?

She gives a bow to the camera. ]

Thank you! [ And, after a second to figure out what to press, the feed turned off.

Yes, she just did a self-introduction. To the network. Like on the first day of school.

[ She smiles at the camera brightly. TRYING TO MAKE A GOOD IMPRESSION. ]

[ As always, Karuta is eating something, this time she's munching on cookies. Her voice is quiet and sleepy and montone, like she's about to fall asleep. ]

[ Her smile slips a bit. ]

Well, no. I look like a human right now. [ She doesn't see anything wrong with this line of thought. ]

[ This news makes her eyes open a little bigger. ]

...You are a youkai too?

[ Now she just looks confused. ]

A youkai?

[ She realizes she said too much. She still doesn't know how to explain her demon ancestry in this new place. ]

...You can turn into a fairy because of your ancestors, right?

No, I was born a fairy. I'm just kind of stuck in a human form right now.

[ She thinks that it's better to talk to her friends first before she admits anything. So she just bites into another cookie. ]

[ No! Ellen's losing this girl's interest!

Um... so.... my name's Ellen Kurokawa. [ She already said that. ] What's your name?

Karuta Roromiya. [ She munches into her cookie again. Karuta's not a big talker, so she just looks sleepily into the camera. ]

[ Okay. Deep breath. You can do this! ]

Do... Do you want to be friends?

[ Even Karuta is surprised by this strange set of circumstances. ]

O....Okay.

[ She mostly agrees because if this girl is a demon blood like her, she wouldn't mind getting to know her. ]

[ SHE'S A PRETTY CURE. These series have more about friendship than My Little Pony.

Anyway, Ellen gives a relieved sigh. SUCCESS. ]

...What house are you in, Kurokawa-san?

A... A fairy? truly?

That's right! A song fairy.

Wooow! A real fairy! Oh, this is an honor!

Ellen just kind of looks embarrassed, rubbing the back of her head. ] Oh, no. It's no big deal. Major Land has a lot of song fairies.

But I've never met a real fairy before! Fairies don't exist back home...

... Unless they do, and they've been hiding their presence from me, which is completely understandable.

Most fairies stay in Major Land, though. So it's not surprising that you wouldn't have met one! Unless you live in Kanon Town.

I don't live in either. So this is my first time meeting a fairy! It's a pleasure!

Oh, no. The pleasure's all mine! [ She's practically beaming. This social interaction is going very well! ]

[he bows very deeply.]

I'm for for not introducing myself. My name is Ritsu Sohma. I'm just a useless human, but I'll try not to be a bother.

And there I go, horribly implying that all humans are useless! I bring so much shame to my own race.

How can you hope to make friends if you don't know anything about it?

[ This is only on video because Yozora is certain that she is a friendless loser like her. ]

I mean, I've been trapped in human form for quite a while. But I'm still a song fairy!

[ And continuing on, because she doesn't see what the big deal about being a fairy is- ] And I like all kinds of music! I suppose I especially like singing, though. Oh, and the guitar! The piano is very nice too.

But all music is good. Because music makes people smile.
