[ Allison's sitting in her room in Freya house (the pink is ridiculous) where she's been since she got here, except to eat and everything, as she tried to absorb as much information as possible. That got to be a little overwhelming, though, especially while she was going through some of the network posts, so now she's here. ]

I was trying to find more information about the powers that we get when we're pulled here. [ It feels weird to say that; she's still trying to convince herself it's not some coma-induced dream. ] There's a lot of stuff to filter through, though, so if someone could just give me a basic rundown of them, I'd really appreciate it.

I can tell you my power if it makes a difference, but just a general explanation of them would work, too.

[ And now he's back to sighing. He hates that she might know something that he doesn't about what's happened back home since he's been here. Their dynamic has shifted and right now, she holds more information that he does. She's the only one (so far) that's also here in Asgard and if he wants to be filled in, he can cooperate. Slightly. He shrugs before nonchalantly listing off the few things he remembers doing last. ]

I had lacrosse practice, I talked to that weird camera kid, I had to give the Sheriff a statement about Lahey, I went home. Take your pick.

That weird-- You mean Matt? [ She remembers when Lahey went missing, though, and while it wasn't super long ago, it feels like a whole other lifetime. ]

Yeah, I borrowed a camera from him. [ He hadn't really thought much about him otherwise. Besides hoping that he wasn't doing anything weird with the footage of him sleeping. ]

[ She's not really entirely sure what to say now that won't raise suspicious - telling Jackson he was the kanima didn't go over well at home, why would it go over any better here? - so she just nods. ]

He's kind of a creep. Like stalkery-creep.

What do you mean?

[ He's actually curious considering Matt came off as skeevy but not that skeevy. ]

[ She wasn't planning on telling anyone this but for some dumb reason, she kinda feels like she owes Jackson. Or maybe she's just hoping his focus will stay on this instead of drifting back to what was going on back home.

One of the two. ]

When I dropped him off after the rave, he forgot his bag in my car. I grabbed his camera and started going through the pictures he'd taken recently and... [ She presses her lips together for a moment, pretty clearly uncomfortable with the whole thing. ] There were pictures of me, pictures I had no idea he'd taken. And not just ones taken around school or anything.

[ He realizes this rave must be something that's happened while he was here because he has no memory of it. He watches her expression as she talks and seeing her get uncomfortable does worry him. Sure, dealing with werewolves and what not is tough but stalkers are a whole 'nother kind of freaky. ]

So he's been following you around this whole time?

[ She frowns a little and nods. ] It seems that way, yeah. I think he started doing it when my aunt died, but it's possible I just didn't get a chance to see any earlier pictures.

[ He's starting to feel ... concern? Maybe, just a little. ] Please tell me you reported him.

I didn't have a chance. I was on my way home and ended up here instead.

So, that's the last thing you remember. [ pause ] You never told me what else happened back home, by the way.

[ She was so close to getting away with it. ] Does it really matter that much, Jackson? None of it's going to change the fact that we're stuck here.

Again, I know being with McCall kind of lets you forget these things, but I actually care about what I do. And if -- when we go back, I don't want to have missed something important.

[ She considers that for a few moments, weighs the pros and cons of trying to brush all of it off (and maybe lie to him), and then sighs as she switches the feed over to private. ]

Fine, but you don't get to be upset with me for telling you any of this. [ Not that she's expecting him to believe it or anything, but. ] The bite from Derek? It took, but not in the way that you or anyone else was expecting. It's-- [ You're.

The discomfort she feels with this whole thing is probably evident on her face, as is the concern and the little edge of fear that's crept back into her eyes. If he's paying close enough attention to make all of that out, anyways. ] It's rare, I think, but sometimes the bite turns people into something other than a werewolf. That's what happened to you.

What are you talking about -- [ He only just sees that she's switched the video to private and it makes him narrow his eyes because, he was right. Something else has been happening back home all along. He's carefully watching her as she speaks, his own face impassive as he can manage.

Sure that goes out the window the minute she mentions the bite (BUT HE TRIED). ]

[ No, no, no. She's got to be lying. There is no way that what she's saying can be true. Also when denial happens, so does angry Jackson. ]

What do you mean, something other than a werewolf? How did you find out about that anyways? Did Derek tell you this?

[ He's practically ready to rip off the bracelet and throw it at this point, but he already knows the consequences of that. He almost wishes Derek was here so he could question him about all this. ]

What the hell happened? [ Each word comes out slowly as if it's punctuated on its own. He's trying very hard to control himself, but it isn't working so well. ]

[ Allison knows Jackson well enough (especially since the confrontation in the locker room, whether that was actually him or the kanima) that she expects him to lash out. And honestly, there's a part of her that can't really hold it against him, even if she does look a bit more uncomfortable than she already did. ]

Just calm down and listen to me, okay? [ Probably not the best thing to say, but she has to try. ] We don't know a lot about it, at least not as much as we'd like, but if the person that gets bitten has some really big unresolved issues, they sometimes turn into something called a kanima.

It's technically still a werewolf, just-- [ She catches herself before she says "an abomination". ] Different. [ Terrifying, controllable, and hungry for blood counts as different, right? ] You're... more a werelizard.

[ She probably shouldn't be telling him this, especially since he doesn't remember, but maybe just maybe it'll actually sink in this time. Maybe he'll actually try to accept it instead of denying it completely. And there's a tiny part of her that's hoping he'll still be Jackson here, that Derek's right about the powers, that all of this can just be something -- ]

[ Her eyes go a little wide when she realizes that she's telling him what his future holds, that something he wanted and fought for is going to end horribly. She hasn't given him the details of the kanima yet, but he'll likely try to find out as much information as possible, and she'll be responsible for ruining his life this time.

How is she supposed to make this better? It's not like she can erase everything she just said. She can't make him forget, she can't tell him that everything will be fine and that the kanima's just another version of a werewolf that's scaly instead of hairy. She definitely can't tell him that people back home aren't trying to stop him through whatever means necessary. ]

That's all I know. [ Lying. Lying seems the best bet right now, even if she hates it, even if he can probably tell she's lying. ] No one really knows that much about it even though we've tried to research until our eyes went cross-eyed.

Calm down? [ How can he be calm when he's finding out that he essentially turns into a werelizard? His eyes are bright and big and burning with "what the fuck" because seriously, what.

Also that part about denial and maybe things not going down that route this time?

Nope. Jackson Whittemore is Jackson Whittemore no matter where he may be and when things are getting out of control and not going his way? First thing to do is nose-dive into denial because of all things, werewolves may be possible but he's never even heard of a Kanima. So all the internal worry will be bottled up for now (to be released via yelling at Derek) and he in fact seems to thinking about it.

Right before turning back to look at at with an ugly smirk twisting his features. ]

You're lying. I don't know why you think that I'd buy something as stupid as this, but it's not working. Do I look like I'm covered in scales?

[ Okay, "calm down" was probably the worst thing to say, but she had hoped he'd listen. She's not entirely sure why, especially since they've been through this whole song and dance once before, but she did.

This should've been what she expected his reaction to be and yet she had hoped - maybe because they're stuck here or maybe because the second time could be the charm, she's not sure - that he would listen to her. She had hoped he'd trust her enough to know that she's not lying. Or, at the very least, that he wouldn't freak out at her like this. ]

It's not like you're the kanima all the time, Jackson! It doesn't work like that, even for a werewolf! [ Her look, aside from being a little scared, says that he should pretty clearly know that, at the very least. ] And why would I lie about something like this? It's not like I'm going to win any points if I do.

[ He'll come around to it eventually. At least, a lot faster than his counterpart back home because if there's one thing he's learned from being here is that all sorts of unbelievable shit can happen. He doesn't seem to be remembering that valuable lesson just yet right now, likely because he's kind of blinded with rage. Because he'd been hoping that when he eventually got back, he'd get things back on track with the bite related issues and find out what was on that tape.

Guess he's finding out now, instead! ]

I don't know. [ And he really doesn't, he's just grasping at straws to try and make sense of this in a way that fits him. ] Someone could have put you up to it.

[ She lets out a disbelieving scoff. ] Who has it out for you bad enough to do that? And more importantly, do you really think I'd let someone put me up to this?

[ Let's just ignore the fact that she's easily manipulated when she's grieving... ]

[ This is a touchy subject for him Allison. He freaked out over watching a video in biology, so you blatantly telling him something he won't like? Yeah, not going to fly. Also trying to find a scapegoat helps him believe that it isn't him that's the problem here. ]

I don't know. You might just be stupid enough to fall for it. Was it Scott? Or maybe it was Derek?

I would never-- [ Allison stops abruptly, jaw clenching for a moment. He's angry and he's lashing out because she just dropped something huge onto his shoulders; she shouldn't snap back at him. That won't help the situation at all.

Though she does kinda want to punch him right now. ]

I'm going to let that slide because I know you're freaked out [ she would be, too, in this position ] but I'm not the one you should be blaming for this. I don't even think there is anyone to blame, it just... happened.

[ Not exactly true, but Jackson blaming himself would probably just make it worse... ]
