002. video

[ As the video starts, Hephaestion can be seen sitting on a couch with an expression of mild confusion on his face. After a moment, it becomes obvious that he's watching television - or rather, staring at it. ]

I understand that we come from different worlds, so asking this may be pointless, but according to a friend I'm missing around two thousand years of history.

I am... simply at loss as to where to begin.

Two thousand years...!

Well, at least I don't feel so far behind the times now.

A fair number of people I've spoken to seem to be from about four hundred years after my time, give or take.

Well! I have been catching up by what I am most interested in first. I have found that a good enough place to start.

Hou, but those televisions! Those are quite useful for learning about this new era, I found!

Ahh, yes, I do not understand those things either. I've been watching something that Waver calls "documentaries," or something like that, about military history! There's quite a lot of it, after all, with all the strange developments that have happened since our time.

There is something fantastic about seeing a weapon made of metal flying through the sky, but I would still prefer books! They make more sense on a basic level, eh?

Two thousand years...? That's a really long time. Maybe you should just look up the really interesting parts!

Mami is an expert on technology! Just ask her any questions you have! Whether it's reaching the final boss or knowing all the shortcuts for the Turtle Tortoise Beach track, she knows all!

I don't think there's enough time in one day to briefly go over two thousand years of history. But I suppose you should take it step by step?

[he nods.] Well. I might not know as much, but I can try to help. Do you have any idea where you want to begin?

[Conan recognises this voice!]

Hello again, Hephaestion-san!

Ne, have your housemates explained the technology in your welcome hall? Are you having any difficulties using that?

[identity profile] holmes-fanatic.livejournal.com 2011-12-21 07:23 am (UTC)(link)
I've already explained toasters to one person and the stove to another. I don't mind explaining to you if you need it!
