Certainly not, but I fear this is the opinion of the minority. The level of optimism in this place works against its residents during these times, it seems.

For this particular occurrence, at least. My preference lies with grander, more spectacular roles, so I don't mind being a part of the audience this time.

It would be foolish and unrealistic to think of myself as entirely in control of these situations, but I do believe that my freedom of choice includes whether or not I decide to exacerbate existing problems or just observe.
