( four: text. )

I do hope you're prone to honesty, Asgard. I fear this could get a little messy if you're not.

Often. Not always, and sometimes in an inverse relationship.

What would yours say about you?
ryuuzaki: (smile - friendly)

I'll adjust my interpretation for bias. It would be irresponsible not to... that is, it wouldn't be in the spirit of the enterprise.
ryuuzaki: (behaving remarkably according to type)

Then that isn't typical of the Asgard you were more familiar with before you were brought here against your will?

Vanity in itself can indicate several things: someone who takes pride in their appearance. Someone who doesn't care about their appearance in terms of their own pride, but is interested in making a certain impression on others. Someone who has very little pride at all, who uses their appearance to hide other vulnerabilities. Have I left anybody out?
ryuuzaki: (talking - golly)

Even if others have called you vain, that isn't necessarily your own opinion of what your body says about your mind.
ryuuzaki: (talking - blah blah blah)

Would you equate pride and vanity? If so, to what degree?
ryuuzaki: (listening)

Then would you say that those who called you vain were judging you unfairly?

["Those" probably being gods. This is notable, at least in that it adds a layer to L's amusement with this conversation.]
