[Feferi--in the soaking wet body of a squishy pink human she has just recently learned cannot, in fact, hold her breath for ten minutes, is sprawled out on the bank of the lake, still gasping for breath. There's a net nearby, just barely in frame, with a bunch of fish.]

Hey, whoever's in my body needs to come to the lake, okay? Grey skin, horns, fins, and you should see a symbol like this on my stuff! [She mimes drawing her symbol--the Pisces sign--in the air.] It's really important, so come right away!

[She pauses a moment to take another deep breath.]

So what else should I know about being a human, besides they can't hold their breath to save their lives?

Either way you can't hold your breath at all. [Well, not compared to her standards.] You have to come to the lake, okay?

[A pause.]

What for?

[shinigoby]

You have to go down into the lake and feed my lusus! She's too far down for me to reach when I'm like this.

[snowandglass]

Feed your...what?

[shinigoby]

My lusus. She's like my guardian at home. You've probably noticed the fins and gills and stuff, right? She lives underwater.

[There's a short pause.] But don't try to use my gills. They don't work here and I'll be so mad if you drown my body. That would just be embarrassing!

[snowandglass]

...you're a kind one.

I guess I can come. Just don't almost drown me again.

[shinigoby]

I won't! That would be super embarrassing, too. I'm right by the lake, you can't miss me!

[snowandglass]

[With a slight bit of hesitation, Rukia shuts off the feed, and turns up at the lake about ten minutes later. She wonders what kind of creature this "lusus" is, if needs to live at the bottom of a lake and can't feed itself...]

...well, I think I have the right person.

[Feferi, having since recovered from her diving attempts, hops up.] Good, you came! She's right down there, and it shouldn't take that long to feed her.

[If Ruika gets closer to the water she'll probably be able to see tha many, many tentacles just below the surface.]

But what? [Looking confused, as if there should be no reason to be dubious about swimming with a many-tentacled horrorterror.]

How big is this 'lusus', anyway?

Not as big as she was at home! I only have to feed her fish here. [She gestures to the net full of them; it's way more than any human could eat--maybe three or four humans.]
