[Samantha opted, when setting up the feed, to go with voice only. She still looked like hell, and she didn't need anyone seeing or asking stupid questions. It wasn't their business. But, after speaking to Conan, she'd resolved that it was time to stop trying to hide from this place any further. When she spoke, her voice had a tired quality to it, but was still strong.]

So, Asgard.

I wanted to discuss something with those of you who will still speak with me right now. These powers that we have. Most of the people I see seem to think of them as a good thing, a blessing of sorts, or at least they partially make up for the tricks you had in your homeworlds. Right.

Here's the thing I wanted to talk about. Most I've spoken to seem to think of these powers as something that's being used to help other people around here, or to protect people that can't protect themselves. How do you people handle the fact that any of them can be abused, misused or mishandled? What do people around here do to prepare themselves to be protected if those powers get used for the wrong reasons? I've been thinking a lot lately about how people could protect themselves from some of these powers, and it worries me.

Not all of us are nice people, you know.

Of course I'm denying myself. I'm a half-breed monstrosity, the bastard step-child of some satanic piece of crap incubus who dragged my mother into a back alley somewhere. I'm Doctor Jekkyl and Miss Hyde. Why should I want to turn into a slathering monster like her?

[It horrified her that part of her actually did want to. The angry responses were as much as anything a very real part of her reaction to Diva. The worst part was that she half expected that, if Diva used her influences, she could drag that side out of her anytime she wanted. That fact terrified her more than anything else.]

Bo~ring. [She laughs lightly, sitting back in her chair with a bounce, like she's suddenly playing a fun and interesting game] You're just like my sister, you know? You deny yourself the having fun, and then you just hate yourself for it. Why not just indulge? People will think you're a monster, but so what? You can just kill them. That's your right as something stronger, right?

I don't want to hurt them. I don't want to be like my father... Seeing the look in their eyes. [She shuddered. There was no reasoning with this creature. She sounded like Avaritia, in a way, like Superbia. So arrogant, so covetous.]

Just... stay away from me. I mean it.

Well, whatever. [she shrugs] You'll be coming to me anyways. I don't think you'll be able to stay away.

[She waves cutely] Bye bye~
