Hello, everyone.  With all of the celebrations and festivals lately, I've been thinking a little about what I can do to help around Asgard lately too.  I've gotten involved in a lot of things, but I keep coming back to the fact that I haven't practiced much with the power I've been given by Heimdall, and I'd like to do something about that.  I'm a Damage Drain user, so it's hard to find an opportunity to really practice without someone walking away from it with an injury, and I don't really want to hurt someone on purpose just so I can get some more experience with my power.  But I do spend a lot of time training at the Arena, so I was wondering if someone would like to have a practice fight if we could get someone from Sigyn House to come with us to make sure no one walks away with any lasting wounds.  That way, I could get used to using my power, and with healing available we could also train harder and for longer.  So if anyone is interested in combat training, or if you're a healer who would be all right with making sure things are safe while helping me train with my power, please let me know.

[Action; Arena]

[Later in the day, Lyon is back at the Arena, just like she said she would be earlier.  She's currently in one of the training rooms practicing her sword forms, but she'd be happy to stop and talk to anyone who wants to.  And there are a few things she wants to ask some of her more regular training partners too, so she'll be keeping an eye out for anyone she's sparred with previously.]

In the meantime, we should eat breakfast. You can't train on an empty stomach, after all.

This is true...What would you like to have? [Yes, Lyon, he does plan to cook today.]

Oh! Ah... whatever you want to make is fine with me, Prince.

Are you sure?

Well, I don't want to ask for anything you haven't practiced making before.

[falenandawn]

Alright. How about pancakes then?

[sparkling_eyes]

That sounds fine. Do you need any help with anything?

[falenandawn]

I should be fine, unless you wish to help?

[sparkling_eyes]

Well, I was thinking of learning at least a little bit about how to cook. It's not fair to have you doing it all the time, after all.

[falenandawn]

Then you can help. [he grins a bit. This kind of thing..... was nice, actually.]

[sparkling_eyes]

All right! Just tell me what you need me to do.

[falenandawn]

Could you get me some milk, butter and eggs from the fridge? [He's already making his way to the cupboards to get the rest of the ingredients.]

[sparkling_eyes]

All right!

[Smiling, she heads off to the refrigerator to retrieve what he asked for. She's not sure how much of each, so she's just going to bring over the entire gallon jug of milk, the whole package of butter, and an entire dozen eggs.]

[And Freyjadour pulls down the flour and baking powder, as well as a large bowl to mix with. Afterwards he pulls out a large spoon.

....Lyon what sort of portions are you planning to eat.]

How many would you like?

[The Queen's Knight training regimen is very vigorous and takes a lot of energy, okok~]

Just two, please.

[falenandawn]

Two? Ok.

[he rummages around for a cup to measure flour in, and pulls out another bowl which he places near Lyon.] Could you crack two eggs into that, please?

[sparkling_eyes]

All right.

[You had to see this coming, Prince. Lyon does as she's told, but the eggshells end up in there too.]

[falenandawn]

[....That's ok.

He reaches over, grabbing her hands before she cracks the second egg. He can fish out the pieces from the first with a spoon, but he'd prefer not getting more in there.] Ah, wait.

I forgot, I had trouble with this too in the beginning.

[sparkling_eyes]

Oh, I'm sorry...!

[She seems pretty embarrassed, cheeks flushing red.]

[falenandawn]

It's fine. What you do is crack the side on the bowl gently and then pry it apart. Like...

[Hmm. It's hard to explain, so....] Can I show you?

[sparkling_eyes]

[Lyon nods, smiling sheepishly and sliding the carton of eggs over.]

All right. Show me how.

[falenandawn]

[He pulls out a spoon, scooping out the egg shells still in the bowl carefully. After that, though, he picks up an eggs from the carton and places it over the rim of the bowl, tapping lightly on the edge.] You just tap it until the shell gives, but don't crack it there. Then you just....

[He pulls gently, prying the egg apart slowly and releasing the contents inside into the bowl.]

[sparkling_eyes]

[Lyon watches closely, taking mental notes. Apparently this is just as serious a matter as learning a new sword stance.]

Oh, I see! Do you mind if I try it again?

[falenandawn]

[Frey had gone about learning in a similar manner, so it much be a very serious matter indeed.]

Of course not. The recipe calls for two eggs, but we can adjust it for three, I think.

[sparkling_eyes]

All right. Here I go, then.

[Lyon takes another egg and tries it out. At first, she doesn't tap hard enough to make a big enough crack. So she taps harder next time and ends up breaking it apart even more than she'd originally intended, and drops the shell in again in her surprise.]
