Hey, so I'm cleaning up these rooms, trying to make 'em into one big one for myself.  Anyone wanna help me tear down this wall?  Uh, someone who can make keys would be pretty good too.  Have to pick the lock every time I want to get in.  It's not like anybody's using them, so it's fine if I do, right?

Maybe I should be advertising my sweet bachelor pad for the lonely women of Asgard, heheh. [He grins. It's only half-joking...] Haven't had a dry spell since I was about fifteen, geez...

Anyway, hey, Ange, you get bored of staying with those freaks in your house, come hang out with your old man!  Nobody ever visits me, it's not like I'm in a home.

[Her lips stay pursed for a moment, but she just ends up laughing, because wow, that's so arrogant! As if she can judge, she would have done the same damn thing.]

Well, fine, if you're a genius, I suppose I can accept it. I think someone might get mad, though... What if someone new was supposed to live in that room?

Too bad for them, I guess.

Nah, I can't do much about it if they just stick somebody in there. But if they do, I'm just gonna find a different one.

[a wry smile] And knock down the wall in that one too?

You got it. It's the only option I see. No good way to make some money around here, I'm not into waiting tables and shit, so, gotta make do.

[She laughs] I know, isn't it boring? I was on a world tour before I came here, and now... [a sigh] Now, a bakery. It's not awful, but it's hardly performing at the Metropolitan Opera House.

Woah, wait, you an actress? You were at the Met? Can't say mine was that exciting, but being head of a company's a far cry from grunt work.

[madamemoiselle]

Not completely an actress, but an opera singer. [She tilts her head slightly, a charming gesture] But I would never discount being a head of a company! Quite a few of my, ah, my knights were heads of companies.

[gunsgoldgirls]

Well, sure, not many people can afford going to the opera all the time, pays good as long as you're any good at it, but it's nothing special. Takes something special to be an opera singer!

[coloratura]

[She smiles proudly, because she's good and she knows it, but her tone at least stays somewhat modest]

Oh, I would say that I'm pretty good at it. [A beat, then she offers with a smile,] Actually, would you like to hear an aria?

Ah? Just like that? Sure, it's like a private concert, huh? Sounds like a real treat.

[coloratura]

Sure, just a little bit! [She winks with a smile] Is there any kind of song that you like in particular?

Can't say I really know opera much, go for whatever you want.
