[When Ikaruga appears on the screen, she actually looks sincerely happy about something. It's not smugness or mild amusement, as she's normally inclined. No, she actually looks genuinely pleased about whatever she's about to announce.]

I am pleased to announce the upcoming opening of the New Moon school of arts. The classes offered will include literacy, poetry, music, dance, calligraphy, painting and drawing, theatre, swordsmanship, practical economics and business management.

[If it's occurred to her that swordsmanship, practical economics and business management don't really match the rest of the school's curriculum, she gives no indication.]

Students of all ages are welcome. I am also hiring for teachers. Each class will be offered at a beginner, intermediate and advanced level.

[There's a short pause as she decides to put one other offer out there.]

Should anyone be looking for someone to practice the art of the sword with rather than lessons, I am available for that as well.

Well, literature is one of the classes that are going to be required, so it's just as well that you're interested in it. You could take all of the subjects if you wanted, but I don't recommend taking more than five at a time.

Yeah, I work a lot and do a lot of volunteering and training, so I can't stretch myself too thin. I know a few people who'd be mad at me if I started pulling all-nighters again. [A quiet laugh.] I'll definitely check it out, though, see how the classes fit into my schedule.

You definitely shouldn't deprive yourself of sleep in order to fit everything in. One cannot live life to the fullest if one is barely able to stay awake.

I know that now, but before... I just felt like I wasn't as important as the work I was doing, I guess. It was all that mattered.

Well, your work ethic is certainly impressive. Take care that you don't become consumed by it.

[She gets a bit of a wry look on her face.]

I get that warning a lot. [More seriously] But I always listen, and I will this time, too. I have other things to fill my time with now, and they matter just as much, if not more.

Balance is important. It's good that you're learning this before you make yourself ill from excessive work.

I think it's a mistake many people must learn from experience.

[She nods, remembering the state she was in when she got here - the state she was in when she fought, for that matter - and swearing never to get that bad again. Just in case.]

Um, so, where is the school going to be?

It's in the Baldr district.

[Mostly because the locals are the most accommodating toward the Travellers chosen by their god of choice, and thus she managed to get a rather nice facility.]

I'm kind of excited now. It was disappointing that I had to give up my schooling to come here.
