If you were to take loyalties to a king, what kind of king would you want them to be? Would you think better if they were harsh or if they were wise? What sort of person would you lend your allegiances too?

[ It's a general topic. he's curious to hear the opinions of people around him. he seems less rigid than when he first arrived. the break from all the battles has done well on him. he's not uneasy and robb speaks with a warm confidence. ]

I don't have much experience in that kind of shit, but the guy who used to run my village was a dick, and the only king I ever met wasn't too bright but made up for it with compassion and valor. He ran his kingdom like a pro, though he had a good adviser to keep him in line.

[ her voice softens a bit as she remembers the young ruler who sacrificed his life for her and her friends. ] The little brat was probably one of the most honorable people I'll ever meet, so yeah, I've got opinions.

Aye, that was the same of the previous king of my realm. He had valor to some form. His hands - mayhaps, I have heard the term 'hand of the king' is not a common one, but the people who gave him the most council were very great men.

[ he's mostly curious. ]

Did you serve him?

[ she actually pauses to consider that question. ]

I wasn't from his kingdom, so not exactly, but I did fight with him.

He was... a friend. He gave up his life to save me and my companions. I'm not a "loyal subject" kind of girl, but if I had to serve a king, he would've been my first choice.

You weren't for his kingdom but you aided him? Why?

[ this is a tricky thing to answer, because kainé did it since it seemed the decent thing to do, but she doesn't want people to know she's secretly a nice person. ] He and his people welcomed me when even my own village wouldn't. I'd be kind of an asshole to let them become wolf grub.

[ and this second question is even trickier, and painful to answer as well. ] We were... on our way to kill the guy who was responsible for the humans in my world being slaughtered. We ran into a bitch of a fight - the King and his soldiers held off the enemy so we could escape and confront the Shadowlord.
