If you were to take loyalties to a king, what kind of king would you want them to be? Would you think better if they were harsh or if they were wise? What sort of person would you lend your allegiances too?

[ It's a general topic. he's curious to hear the opinions of people around him. he seems less rigid than when he first arrived. the break from all the battles has done well on him. he's not uneasy and robb speaks with a warm confidence. ]

He is not my king yet, but he has proven himself a man of great courage and honor. The very fact that he should even consider knighting the likes of me speaks volumes of him, since - [and here it comes] the First Code of Camelot states that only men of noble blood may serve, and not a drop of nobility courses through my veins.

That is a code for fools. A man should be given knighthood not for how much land his family holds but on his valor and skills upon battle.

[This is where he chooses his words a little more carefully because although on a personal note Uther is hardly his favorite person, he is the king and Arthur's father.]

They are chosen out of the families who have sworn their allegiance to the king.

[ not that westeros' knighting system is any better, but at least their more considerate. he's pretty sure people who don't have a big name or sworn to lands are still allowed to participate in tourneys. ]

I've never dreamt of a Knight's glory. I've always been given the duty of lordship. Do we have a City's guard of some sort here or tourneys?

Here I cannot say - as I said I am new here myself. But Castiel, the man I spoke of before, spoke of creating a group that would be responsible to respond to attacks, I imagine that be a form of City's guard. I have not yet heard of tourneys.

Those of us versed in battle should help assist in this. I have never participated in a Tourney

Aye, I am as well. We did not have technology of this sort back in Westeros. It is still startling to me that no one uses Ravens.

That was not the case back in my realm. It was for men who sought glory.

In a way it is the same with Camelot, only limited to men who have already achieved certain glory and wish for more.

Aye, these are rules that ought to be changed. Asgard, this realm - gives opportunity to most freedoms. There is more equality between men, and that is a good change.

[But many kings are cruel and unjust. Many kings would have their men die for land, and kill the people, or oppress them. Camelot is a rare gem.]
