2nd Battle | VIDEO
[ he may as well use this damn network for research. ]
If you were to take loyalties to a king, what kind of king would you want them to be? Would you think better if they were harsh or if they were wise? What sort of person would you lend your allegiances too?
[ It's a general topic. he's curious to hear the opinions of people around him. he seems less rigid than when he first arrived. the break from all the battles has done well on him. he's not uneasy and robb speaks with a warm confidence. ]

There are more things a King must concern themselves with than what is harsh, than what is wise. And what is his purpose?
no subject
To serve his people, in whatever way he might. A King is every bit the servant of his people as they are of him. It is not an easy task by far, but it the most important.
KINGBROS
I had not thought of that. You have experience with politics, ser?
HECK YES MEDIEVAL BROFIST
I may know something of the sort.
[ A polite incline of his head - ]
I am Arthur Pendragon, Crown Prince and heir to the throne of Camelot.

[ Thrice now, he's heard the name - and the second of Stark. He smiles. ]
I believe I've made acquaintance with another of your house, Lord Stark. Your sister, I'd presume - an Arya. Quite the handful, that one. It is a pleasure to meet you.
[ And there's the polite nod of his head again. ]

- Our lineage is not royal in regards to anything outside of the North. The crown was ours to seize, and not to pass down between kin. Arya has never taken to the habits of even the most simple court lady. You should see her needlework.

She may get on well with my own sister, if such is the case. Morgana makes a fine Lady, but it's more a guide for her deviance, and she's hardly to be underestimated with a sword.
[ before prying a bit more, cautiously ]
You are the first upon your throne, then?
no subject
[ It worries him. Really. He has an odd feeling that gone are the days where women are confined to their duties. ]
Aye, if I should be able to seize it. You are not the first in your House?
no subject
[ his second post in Asgard was a nightmare. ]
I am second. My father took claim to the throne [ insert some odd number here bc lol canon you suck at clarity and consistency ] years before my birth.
no subject
Aye.
That must hold some pressure to you. Being a King is difficult but to follow the footsteps of your lord father, must be no easy task.
no subject
It is quite possibly one of the most difficult, as I see it. For all that my father is a flawed man, he is still a good King, and I am loathe to disappoint him.
no subject
Aye, kings are still men. Nothing will exempt them from flaw, so we can only try to void ourselves from the crimes of those before us.
no subject
- You've a good head about yourself, my lord. I do not doubt you should make a fine King, indeed.
no subject
- Your men speak highly of you.
no subject
[ There's a pleasant smile to go with that, but then he purses his lips near sheepishly at the latter. Arthur is a prideful man, but only in his own right; when others should compliment him in such sincerity, it is rare and humbling (and perhaps a bit too much for the Prince that is used to only criticism). ]
Do they, now? And what tales has Sir Lancelot been singing today?
[ Because it clearly must be him. The others are all awful, awful human beings. Arthur is far too fond of them all. ]
no subject
If we are to do away with titles, it's been a very long time since someone's just referred to me as Robb.
no subject
[ But at the latter - he smiles warmly. ]
Then in place of rank, I should hope you will consider our houses as proud friends and allies, Robb.
no subject
Then consider the fair lands of Camelot and House Stark to be allied, Arthur.
