[When the video starts up, you can see a very tired-looking Kate Beckett sitting in a hospital bed. She's rubbing the bridge of her nose for a moment before she remembers that she turned on her bracelet and looks up, giving a small, tired smile.]

Not gonna lie, I honestly have no idea how this happened. But I must have lost my bracelet... [She shakes her head.] You weren't kidding Sam, that was seriously... yeah. Not fun.

If you guys tried to reach me in the past...week? Was I seriously gone a week? Anyway, if you tried to reach me and I didn't pick up...that's the reason. I'm sorry if I made any plans or anything. I really have no idea how I could have been so stupid.

[Kate sighs, rubbing her temple and trying to calm a raging headache she's had since she woke up. Right. The video.]

Conan, I'm sorry about disappearing like that. Especially with all I left you guys at the Forensics Unit...

I'm in Room 212 if you need me. I don't know when the nurses here will let me go. They seem to be really enthusiastic about my state of being, but it's not like I was shot or anything. [Even she cringes at how poor of taste that comment was.]

Hey… [She’s not even going to try and look any less tired than she is. That whole mask she had up during the network video is gone. Kate doesn’t have to pretend with Castle, and boy is she tired.]

[She’s going to thread her fingers through her hair, pulling it back off her face.]

I think this is important for a lot of people to know, so that the mistake wouldn't be made and people would be more aware of the consequences of playing such games.

If someone took the bracelet... do you have any ideas?

[She's nodding, even if you can't tell.]

I agree. It doesn't seem, at first glance, to be as important as it is. And people need to know about it.

And no, I honestly have no idea who would take it. But the longer I stay here, the more I'm starting to...become suspicious, I guess is the right phrase, of the people here in Asgard. Travelers and Natives alike.

The Natives seem rather harmless to me. Have you seen otherwise?

Not anything that would constitute as proof, no. It's just a feeling.

Intuition can sometimes be an observation we have only made subconsciously. In any case, I should hope you're wrong. The Natives outnumber us, don't they?

Quite a bit, actually, which is why I'm worried.

After an incident such as this, it seems like it'd be hard to trust much of anything, especially if you don't think you could have misplaced your bracelet.

Unfortunately, it seems like nothing can be proved unless a similar situation were to occur. I haven't been in Asgard for very long, but this is the first I've heard of such a thing. It seems wise to be more vigilant in the future. For now, every effort must be made for you to make a full recovery.

May I call on you, Detective, later on, to ask after your health? The bracelets are of some curiosity to me, seeing as they may very well be the one connecting factor we Travelers have.

I have heard of other Travelers losing their bracelets, but most of them assume they've lost it. A few are convinced theirs was stolen as well, but it seems so random it's hard to find any specific information about the order of events. Or even get a suspect list.
