To those who wield fire:

I would like to know the extent of your control over fire as well as whether or not your abilities have increased significantly since you arrived in Asgard. And, if your abilities have increased, was it due to practice or did it happen naturally?

I suppose those inquiries could apply to any power, but I would like to compare notes with another fire user if at all possible.

Have you made use of your power? How high can you fly?

Would you like to meet in person sometime? I don't know about you, but being around someone familiar might be a welcome change. [And she is going to leave it at that.]

The night sky sure is lovely. [She tilts her bracelet so that everyone can see the heavens.] Would it be silly to make a wish if I see a shooting star?

There are spells and potions that require the heavens to look a certain way. Not to mention the divinatory properties [which she puts little stock in] as well as its uses in Arithmancy.

[ ... it almost sounds like a silence. he considers this as he slips out the door, pausing to greet his fellow loki housemates absently. ] Well, sad to say, I haven't got the faintest idea what those are.

All I know's that the stars are pretty, and they've got a lot of stories worth telling behind 'em.

I could tell you, but it's safe to say that might take awhile. [A long while. Arithmancy in particular isn't for everyone.] What stories do you know?

No, it's okay-- it'd probably all be wasted on me, anyway. [ he isn't the bookish sort, honestly. ] And what stories do I know?

[ his grin all but splits his face in half-- ] All of them~

It's complicated and I know my friends would get bored if I droned on and on about it. [Hermione spends many of her waking hours practicing and reading.] All of them, hm?

[She very nearly smirks.] That's a lot.

Sounds like your friends and I would... probably be on the same page, yeah. [ meanwhile, this guy here gives off the impression that he couldn't sit still if he tried. and here, he snickers, before shrugging-- ]

Fine, fine, I'm exaggerating. Not all of them, buuut the ones I don't know probably aren't worth knowing, anyway.

I think you would like them. [So like Harry and Ron. It's a wonder they finished any of their essays without her help.]

How do you know they're not worth knowing unless you know about them? [That's a tongue twister!]

Yeah? Hope they'd like me. If they show up, you'd better introduce me.

And that's because I know all the ones that are worth knowing~ [ so everything he doesn't know must be not worth knowing... CIRCULAR LOGIC at its finest. but it's kind of obvious that he's just kidding, what with the wideness of his grin. ]

I'll do that. If you see the names Harry Potter or Ron Weasley on the network, though, that's them.

[Hermione opens her mouth to argue before catching sight of his grin.

Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, huh. I'll keep an eye out.

[ and here, his grin even widens! you didn't think that was possible, huh? ] Depends! What d'you wanna hear? I wasn't kidding when I said I know a lot.

I think you'd get along. In fact, if any Weasleys show up, I think you'd like them too.

How about your favorite story? [That should tell her more about him and his tastes, at least.]

Hm... [ thinking about this... ] how 'bout an exchange? I'll tell you a story, and you tell me one about your friends?

Awesome. [ and he grins! there's suddenly a deck of playing cards in his hands, and he shuffles it thoughtfully. ] Ooookay, let's see. Well, since you were talking about the stars and all...

You know the one about the fox and the fisherman?

I do not. [He has her full attention.] How does that story go?

No? [ and here, he grins. ] Well, you're in for a treat. Wait one sec--

[ aaaand you can see the video shake for a moment as kaito moves quickly. when the feed steadies itself, you can see that he's also on a rooftop. ] Okay, we're ready now. It's not that long, but I swear it connects with what we were talkin' about.

Soooo, once upon a time, a long, long time ago, there was this fisherman. And one, cold wintery day, after a heavy snowfall, he was on his way home with a heavy sleigh full of fish. As he was driving his sleigh, however, he noticed something on the side of the road.

[ and here, kaito fluidly throws his voice, perfectly imitating the sort of voice you'd expect from a fisherman in the cold. his voice dips, gravelly, and takes on a country-bumpkin sort of feel to it. ] "Ah, but what's this, by the side of the road?" He thought to himself-- "It's a dead fox!"
