01 » voice & action for Thor District
[Barnaby and Kotetsu could be doing so many more valuable things with their time right now, like exploring the other districts, asking questions, figuring out who they were dealing with in terms of other "residents". But no, instead the two were currently held up with arguing with a snowman.
Well, one of them was. As Kotetsu continues to take part in a yelling contest with one of Thor's confrontational snowmen, Barnaby tries his best to keep his partner out of trouble and is holding him back to the best of his ability. What with all the movement going on, his bracelet happens to switch on to voice allowing everyone to hear this very nice conversation going on.]
Would you please calm down? You're making a scene.
Ca- Calm down? Me?! You tell this guy to calm down! I didn't even do anything! Now let me go already so I can give this pile of snow a piece of my mind!
Do you realize how ridiculous it is that you're arguing with a snow-- please stop struggling!
If he thinks my face is weird I want to see how his looks like when I'm done punching it in! nng-DAH! Let go Bunny!
[The snowman just throws a few more taunts at Kotetsu which gets him more arguing in return and Barnaby is really wishing he didn't have to deal with this right now. It's almost enough to give him a headache. Who argues with a snowman? Besides, it's not like what he's saying is anything to get riled up about. Why must he always be the adult in these situations?
A few seconds later, another snowman approaches and proceeds to tell Barnaby that his hairstyle is ugly and outdated.]
Excuse me?!
[So much for being a reasonable adult.]

[At this point Barnaby is almost considering keeping Kotetsu out of the conversation completely and just telling him to go make snow angels or something, but they're a team. There's no reason to shut him out of a conversation that could easily help them out in dealing with whatever this situation is.
And then he notices the stick. ...sure would be nice to change his mind. One heavy sigh later he holds his arm out so Kotetsu can get a better view of the screen while still keeping his focus on Yuri. At Kotetsu first:]
Please listen and don't attack anymore snowmen. And throw that stick away.
[Back to Yuri. There's a small wince when he remembers that their NEXT powers are gone, which makes dealing with things much more difficult.] We were given the same information then. From how large the population is-- and I've overheard people who are just as confused as we are, I'm not quite sure if there's any way for us to handle the situation in any other way than what we've been told to do. [Especially since they're heroes. I mean, how do heroes assist people when they're in need of assistance themselves?]
At the most, I believe your house is next to ours. Wild Tiger and I were both assigned to Thor. We'll do our best to keep in contact with you to find a more solid solution to all this.

Wait, we've been given other.. powers? Well, how the hell is that gonna work?

It's understandable. We're under a great deal of stress here. It's no wonder that tempers are short.
No matter the situation, I don't believe we can give in to those who brought us here. Even though there seems to be little action we can take at the moment, considering that our knowledge is limited as yet, I mean to do whatever is in my power to help the people here and oppose those responsible for our captivity. [As limited as his power currently is--but he can't let an injustice stand, in any case.]
Thor. I see. Yes, it would be best to keep in close contact.
[He glances at Kotetsu again.] I'm not sure exactly how it will work. I imagine we're meant to practice and hone these abilities, as with any other power. [Of course, he's already been practicing as much as possible.]

Agreed. We'll both get to work on finding out as much as possible from others that have been brought here and especially any actual residents of this world. I'm sure they know more than anyone else.
From what I recall, I believe it was mentioned that my own given power had something to do with speed. I have a feeling that this isn't relevant to other houses but I'm not sure if it's a house-centric power either.
[Focusing his attention back to Kotetsu.] Do you remember being told anything about your ability? We either have the same one or yours is different somehow, a variation of some sort.
