[The first thing viewers might notice is Rise's disheveled appearance. Some of her hair's fallen out of her pigtails, her face is smudged with something dark gray (ash, perhaps?), providing a stark contrast with her pale skin.]
U-um, hey guys. [Her voice, normally so chipper, is strained and hoarse.] I think we're going to need some healers ov--[She breaks off, coughing.] O-over here. We're in the castle's courtyard.
[Another coughing fit keeps her from saying anything else, and she simply shuts off the bracelet after the angle gives a good view of the courtyard, occupied by several other people in a similar state.]
(About an hour later, from the hospital):
If anyone's planning to leave the city through the gate, you should be careful. I don't know how far out we were, but we got caught by a group of fire creatures. They were really strong.
[She goes quiet, looking down at her hands.] Oh, and...can anyone tell me if we missed anything while we were gone? Thanks.
(ooc: Rise and a few other campers will probably make their way to the hospital themselves, but feel free to catch her along the way or after the second part. Also, Touya and Hilda will have their own log later for close CR, as might a few other campers, just as a note!
Edit: Threadjacking is encouraged, especially for people involved in the camper event!)

[Video / Action -- Immediate Arrival!]
His movements are by far and away the biggest indicator that something is wrong. He is lifted through the portal and doesn't protest as he's led to a out of the way place to sit down as they wait for everyone to come through the portal -- and he sits.
Limited food and water and a hard night mean that Conan's movements are sluggish, and that's not even mentioning the burnt t-shirt, or the heavily bandaged shouder. Someone made a sling out of a sleeping bag so that Conan's arm wouldn't be so jostled, but patches of burnt skin where it wasn't so serious that they could spare bandages for it show through.
In other words, looking for the poster child for your 'Baldr should never be allowed to plan your vacation' campaign? You might just have found him.]
((ooc: Merlin has dibs on healing; otherwise go nuts!))

We should move.
[They haven't had much to eat since they were first taken to the forest, and they definitely need some water to drink, and fast.]
no subject
[Moving would be logical -- very logical. But Conan makes no move to act on Rise's suggestion yet. He's watching the rest of their small, sorry group come through the portal. While he knows that it makes more sense for someone to go ahead, warn the hospital of their arrival, he's not sure he wants to leave the group yet.
Not until they're all there.]

We probably look like a mess. [Coughing.] You think anyone missed us while we were gone?
no subject
[How could they not be missed -- they'd been gone ages. That's Conan's first thought, but even as it registers he remembers that while it felt like an eternity, their ordeal only took two days. People vanish often in Asgard and while their group was unusual in its size, there is so often so much going on that details get lost in the mix. The thought makes him feel unexpectedly vulnerable -- they'd been holding out to get back to the city as their only hope for so long, that the reminder that their friends have no idea what they went through is hard to take.
Not that it will have stopped them from worrying. Conan can imagine the scolding he's due to get from Nakama only too clearly. Then there's Castle -- with Beckett missing, the last thing they need is more of the department up and going missing. Xavier will have a thing or two to say on that subject, as will Bobby -- John! Conan realises with a start that him going missing while Sherlock's return was still so fresh would have done nothing for his flatmate and friend.]
A-ah. We'll be lucky if we're ever allowed out on our own again ...

You probably a bunch of people looking out for you here.
no subject
Just a few.
[After a moment, Conan's going to start the struggle to stand.]
[forgot to add: this thread is ota -- threadjacking encouraged!]
At the hospital
Merlin practically drops the clipboard.]
Wha--Conan?
At the hospital
[Conan's relieved -- at this point, any healer would be a welcome sight, but a friend doubly so. He has a couple of citizen nurses fussing over him, working on removing the make-shift bandages.]
We were attacked, out there in the forest -- the fire giants' people. I used my power -- tell Arthur -- it wasn't all right though. Not everyone made it back--
no subject
[Merlin closes the door behind him, then takes a seat at the edge of Conan's hospital cot.]
Healing first, talk later.
no subject
[Fortunately even if Conan doesn't want to take Merlin's advice, his throat has other ideas, protesting its ill usage with a coughing fit that distracts Conan sufficiently that the nurses are able to finish removing the bandages.
Ouch.
That is not a happy shoulder.]
[ Action - At the Hospital, After Merlin Healed Him? :) ]
When she appears, she looks weary and exhausted, though the concern is still evident in her expression. There are bandages visible on her arms, hands, and face. Ever since she watched Rise's post on the network, Nina hurried to help heal burns and other wounds, and she didn't fully realize the strain of her power until now. ]
Conan! Are you okay?
[ Action - At the Hospital, After Merlin Healed Him? :) ]
Nina-neechan!
[The nurses step back as Nina approaches, clearly sensing the urgency in her enquiry. He's sitting up on an examination bed, tired but relieved to see another friend.]
[ Action ]
She approaches his examination bed, giving the nurses a grateful look as they part. ]
When I heard you were here, I came as fast as I could. Have you been healed yet? [ It doesn't matter if she's drained of energy. She needs to aid her friends, regardless of the cost to herself. ]
[ Action ]
[It's a little creepy, seeing the position of the wounds on Nina and knowing he can picture them almost exactly on their original recipient. Conan swallows.]
Nina-neechan might need some help.
1/2
She was startled by the intensity of the pain at first, but the burns and blisters don't hurt as much anymore. In any case, there was no sense in worrying Conan or Merlin. ]
I'm fine. I'm glad Merlin was here for you.
2/2
...I'm so sorry.
no subject
[The apology catches Conan off guard. He's not sure at first what she has to be sorry about.]
Nina-neechan's got nothing to apologize for.
no subject
[ She can barely contain the wrath and sorrow rising within her. How could the gods cause all of this misery? She's sickened by their callous actions. ]
I'm sorry you had no choice but to go through this... And I'm sorry I wasn't there. [ Nina recognizes that it was foolish to blame herself when she had no control over what happened, but the helplessness leaves her feeling bitter and numb. If she had been there, she may have been able to protect them... ]
no subject
And Nina-neechan could help a lot of people now, right?
no subject
The battle... Why did the gods delight in their despair?
Throughout her life, it always felt like she arrived too late, long after the devastation had already occurred. In a way, she was useless, wasn't she? She could never help prevent anything.
Still, she doesn't want to trouble Conan with her thoughts. ]
...Thank you.
Are you sure you feel all right? You don't hurt anywhere?
no subject
[Conan pauses. Trying to weigh up his different sensations is hard.] It still hurts when I think about it -- I think that's in my mind. But -- I used my power until I couldn't use it any more. That's -- I think that's why I'm so tired.
no subject
How can she console him? ]
Should I leave, so you can rest? Or would you like some food first? It may help restore your energy.
