002 - [Video]/Action in Loki District if you wish
[A video feed comes online. It looks like one of the dingiest, grayest and most forgotten parts of the Loki district. The only color is fading back into existence on the frame of Samantha Grey as she fiddles with her bracelet and gives it a thoughtful growl. She doesn't seem to completely notice that she's not wearing a cap right now, her horns visible.
Looking over to her right, the screen shifts just enough to give a view of a house guard in Hel colors. She nods to him before he departs and sighs.]
Thank you.
[There's a grunt and her hand reaches up to pull the cap she doesn't find there down. This makes her look even more annoyed, but ultimately it just gets another shrug. She sits heavily against the wall and looks around.]
So, I suppose this whole gray thing isn't complete bullshit, is it? Not exactly the brightest way to find out about that, I suppose. There really doesn't seem to be a way out of here, either, but I suppose most of you already knew that. Those bastards have us right where they want us, don't they? [She looks very briefly defeated, though her jaw firms quickly enough. She's not one to give up even in hopeless situations. This just requires a new tactic.]
(OOC: And with that, back from hiatus am I.)

Almost kind of has a sick humor to it, doesn't it? Maybe Gray's more my natural color than red? It would certainly fit the house of the dead they've got me shacked up in. Hah!
[She laughs and smiles as she says this. The smile's fairly natural, but there's just something a little off-putting about the way she laughs at that. It's almost like there's a private joke occurring here, only there isn't.]

[She hums the first bars of a song and just chuckles.]
Ok, so I suppose I wasn't playing it safe the last few days. Cut me a little slack. A disease that steals the color and life from you? Would you have believed that in your world? That's far fetched even for me, and look at me.

[In answer to the other question, she reaches up with a finger and flicks it against one of those hard, dark-brown horns on her head.]
Maybe you come from a place where this is normal, but I'm used to hiding these where I come from. Horns don't fall in the "Not Weird" category easily.
Video
Horns aren't normal, for sure, but I don't think they're exactly weird. You could probably use even the lamest of excuses to get away with it in public. Like 'It's cosplay' or something.
Video
Ugh. I tried that once, once. That was a bad idea. There's way too many creepy people at those things. It's easier to just shove them under a cap. And those excuses only really work if they're not looking too close. They're definitely real, and that close, well, it's obvious for other reasons that it's not makeup.
[Faint whiffs of sulfur were telling.]

[That comes out far more forcefully than it needs to, and she gets to her feet, tail coming into view behind her and lashing out animatedly. Her eyes are blazing for a second before she reaches up to grip the bridge of her nose.]
Yeah, something like that. People don't just up and call demons not weird, though this place is mucking all the normal stuff up. You don't want to deal much with demons. They're not trustworthy.

[She paused and grunted, looking away and growling. She didn't need to go sharing everything.]
Just know a demon's a demon, even if half means they can try to be more human than infernal hell-spawn.

I'm only violent to people who are violent to me, as a rule. But, if we're ever together and I tell you to run, just run. Don't ask stupid questions. Do it.
