[A video feed comes online. It looks like one of the dingiest, grayest and most forgotten parts of the Loki district. The only color is fading back into existence on the frame of Samantha Grey as she fiddles with her bracelet and gives it a thoughtful growl. She doesn't seem to completely notice that she's not wearing a cap right now, her horns visible.

Looking over to her right, the screen shifts just enough to give a view of a house guard in Hel colors. She nods to him before he departs and sighs.]

Thank you.

[There's a grunt and her hand reaches up to pull the cap she doesn't find there down. This makes her look even more annoyed, but ultimately it just gets another shrug. She sits heavily against the wall and looks around.]

So, I suppose this whole gray thing isn't complete bullshit, is it? Not exactly the brightest way to find out about that, I suppose. There really doesn't seem to be a way out of here, either, but I suppose most of you already knew that. Those bastards have us right where they want us, don't they? [She looks very briefly defeated, though her jaw firms quickly enough. She's not one to give up even in hopeless situations. This just requires a new tactic.]

Yeah, but the funny thing is we're talking about what you're saying about someone whose name you don't even know. Do I want to be a monster? No. But what makes you think you know who or what I am?

If you don't want to be then that's enough. That's how I can tell.

You're either undeniably naive, a terrible liar or you're stuck on some principle of the thing. Fine, you can believe whatever you want, but I'm not going to promise not to prove you wrong one of these days. Wishing doesn't make things different on its own.

What do people do in this damned place all the time, when they're not calming down the new kidnapees?

Anything, I guess. I sleep and cook some food when I can, mostly. And hang out with friends.

Oi. I'm going to need to get a damned job. Only way I'm going to stay sane in this place, mark my words. It's like they abducted us and shoved us here, expecting us to just go on with our lives like nothing's wrong.

Worrying about it will probably drive you insane.

I've got my reasons. Said it before to someone else, but I'll say it again. this is the most screwed up kidnapping I've ever dealt with.

This is my only kidnapping, in a way.

Might as well make the most of it.
