Ah -- anyone awake right now, if I could ask a favour? Me and Seth-niichan, we've been putting together emergency kits for everyone's use here! One of the things we stock them with is candles -- and as you can see, there's a lot of candles in Asgard right now!

[Conan tilts the screen so that the viewers get a view of the main road in Hel, looking ... far more cheerful than the main road of Hel has ever looked before. Those sure are some bright candles.]

If you don't mind helping us out, please put them out and store them somewhere dry! You can put them with the emergency kit already in your Welcome Hall, or let me or Seth-niichan know to come and collect them to put in the new kits when we make them! You'd be helping us out a lot! Thank you!

Ah ... I was going to move a little down the road. But maybe we should take the candles inside the Welcome Hall. Kanone-niisan pointed out that they could easily become a fire hazard.

A viewpoint? We could have used the Welcome Hall. There's an elevator and everything. [But if you're going to climb, then Conan's going to be behind you.]

No way I'm going in that Hall. 'sides, don't they say that you're supposed to get a headache if you hang around it for too long? [ climbing! he's careful to see like a very enthusiastic amateur with his movements, though he'll pause every now and then to make sure you're not having any trouble. ]

[Conan is having the exact amount of trouble requisite for someone of his current height but there is no way Kaito is going to be helping him. He is right behind you.]

[ he'll lead you to the edge of the other side of the building, overlooking the candle display. while there are empty patches here and there where people had picked off sizable chunks of the display, there's a spread of red that flickers like dancing spirits. as if you haven't already seen a gazillion candles, conan but-- maybe the vantage can offer you some new insight. ]

Conan's not feeling it. To his eye, the candles look messy, lacking ultimate plan or direction in their arrangement. While the sheer amount is impressive, he can't help thinking about just how much is being wasted. Placed anywhere, the candles impact is lessened, even as there's reduced people in the streets to see them. The candles placed inside aren't even visible as part of the grand design. Finally, the light from the candles is even less apparent in daylight from a rooftop. It seems an exercise in futility, and Conan appreciates it even less after the climb (PSA: someone may be grumpy due to wax burns).

Ha ... he really thinks seeing this will change things? Conan felt momentarily bad. Kuroba might be occasionally annoying, but the guy was out of place and trying to hold onto home. Better think of something nice to say.

He immediately thought of Ran. What would she say? How would the candles look to her? Red was her favourite colour -- she saw it as fate. Hundreds of candles ... Tch, she'd probably see this as someone's special message, go on about how romantic it is ...
