I noticed a few new faces showing up on the bracelet and that and Sakura-chan's question made me think maybe it was time to put these out there again. Sorry for the long-timers -- I'll try and keep this short so there's as little repetition as possible! Info on Asgard. Sam-san's guide to the Gods and Powers. Edmund-kun's summary of the situation here. My own guide -- more detail than Edmund-kun's but it's incomplete! We're working on a compilation of all three guides to make things easier, but for the moment you'll have to make do! Let us know what questions you have that aren't answered or that you'd like to see addressed -- Sena-neechan, the neighbours club is on the list, but you volunteered to do the write up, don't forget! If you want to learn more about self-defence, try The Citadel. For using the powers that the gods gave us here, you want to listen out for a meeting of the Teacher's Council! That's when volunteers from each of the houses gather so you can ask questions and practice using your power with people who kind of know what they're doing. By the way, I'm one of the volunteers for Hel, so feel free to ask questions about Body Control. Help Wanted! - Making / Stocking Emergency Kits! We have two emergency kits for each Welcome Hall, and are gathering supplies to make more. The kits are free to anyone to use in an emergency situation and currently contain basic first aid supplies, canned food, torches, candles and space blankets. Seth-niichan and I are managing this project. We welcome donations of canned or packet food, cash or time, especially if you're someone with the power of drawing life! - Volunteers with Healing Magic / Power Transfer / Damage Drain are always welcomed at the Hospital in Sigyn! Incidentally, the hospital blood bank is now available to Travellers who need blood to survive. [You're not the only subdued one here, it seems. Instead of looking enthusiastic, Merlin just looks hesitant and tired.]

Both the Citadel and the Council, I mean.

[Conan's halfway through his typed response before this registers as off. He straightens up from his bed to reconsider the reply. He doesn't remember Merlin ever private messaging him before -- and why so tired?]

You're welcome. Is it all right?

Wh--oh. Yes, of course. [Merlin straightens sheepishly, looking like his normal self for a second before he deflates again.]

It's fine, he would have found out sooner or later. It was just a surprise, that's all.

[He was uncertain before but that reaction proves it. Something's up. And Conan's -- interested.

At first the video feed only gives a blurry and confusing dark interior -- it got dark while Conan was writing the post and somehow he didn't care enough to turn the light on, but a moment later the light is turned on to display Conan and his room -- bed unmade and strewn with mystery novels. Conan's frowning at his bracelet as he climbs back onto the bed.]

It's not too late to edit, you know. Who's he -- someone from your world?

[Conan can't imagine anyone else objecting to any of the things Merlin's been doing in Asgard.]

No! [That comes out sharper than he intended, and Merlin visibly reigns himself in, sighing.] Don't...you don't need to edit. I was planning to make an announcement about the Teacher's Council in a few days anyway.

The king's arrived in the city. Uther Pendragon. Just...look through the messages from a few days ago and you'll see why that might be a problem.

Uther Pendragon -- that's Arthur-san's father?

[There was an angry loud person insisting against magic a few days ago, wasn't there? He'd been Shinichi at the time and after the shopping trip debacle in no hurry to deal with anyone, especially not one that offered the potential headache material of angry king. Conan finds the post without question, raising an eyebrow as certain facts slip into place.]

... ha. And he's looking for a sorceror to execute.

I've told Nakama already, but. Well, magic's banned in Camelot.

[Merlin hesitates.] You'll try not to draw attention to yourself, right? I'll be warning Nakama, too, if she tries to talk to him.

Ah. So when you said you understood a secret--

[Should he even be referring to that conversation? Nevertheless, things are lining up with crystal clear precision and Conan's focused.]

You're afraid that Uther won't accept that the gods gifts differ from the sorcery that he's used to and that he'll try to take the laws into his own hands here? He still has the command of those of your world then.

I know he won't accept them. He's been hunting and executing anyone with magic for more than twenty years, no matter what it was used for. Even healing. He doesn't listen to reason.

[Merlin takes in a small breath.] He might not be in charge here, but he can still hurt people. I want you and Nakama to be careful around him. Whatever safety being a child normally gets you, it won't work with him. [Merlin's expression darkens.] He's had children executed just for being suspected of having magic before.

[Executed children--

Conan's thoughts immediately go to the shounen tantei. He doesn't think of himself or Nakama as children, but the shounen tantei definitely are, and the wave of fury at the idea of anyone executing children like them is--

Surprising. And definitely going to be analyzed later.]

Understood. Have you spoken to Nakama yet?

Not yet, but I will soon.

[He sighs.]

Anyway, I've got a question for you. What do you think of having a practical lesson for the Council? I think we've had enough discussion in the last two meetings, and people have been practicing their abilities. It'd be good to let them practice, especially with using their abilities with other abilities.

I'm definitely in support of a practical lesson. I guess it wasn't so noticable last time, but Nina-neechan and I were discussing the possibility of resisting body control and ... we tried it out. I think it made it a lot less scary from her point of view and ... well, it made me feel better about it too.

Oh, that's a good idea. Telepathy and Body Control seem to make people the most nervous, so if we built up a resistance to it, or knew how they worked better...

[He trails off, nodding mostly to himself.]

I'll add that in. We should have enough Power Lenders at the meeting to give you a boost if you get tired, too.

Mm! It'd also be good if Nina-neechan talked about it -- as someone who doesn't have that power! It also helps that Nina-neechan's very reassuring.

[Conan nods.]

Between that and the discussion that's come out of the Guild meeting, I think we've got enough for a productive meeting.

Oh! Could I also ask people with Growth, Singing, and Drawing Life if they'd mind helping me out with the party?

Nina...she's the one who organised the party for Nakama and Rapunzel, right?

[Merlin tilts his head at that.] Of course. I don't think an announcement or anything would hurt, if you don't get enough volunteers here.

What's the Guild, though?

Right! You should look her up -- she's a really nice person. And she could handle kid-me without batting an eye which you have to agree is an accomplishment.

The Guild -- ah, Aladdin's group for magic discussion. Grimoire's Sigil! We had our first meeting just the other day.

I'll give her a call sometime. [He chuckles.] Anyone who could keep up with your younger self must be amazing.

[And then his expression crumples.] Oh--Grimoire's Sigil! I was supposed to attend the meeting.

Ah. I guess in retrospect, I should give my elementary school teachers more credit. Do I -- have anything I need to apologise about?

You forgot? Ha -- only natural with all you've got on.

Welllllll. [Merlin draws it out, looking a little too innocent to be serious.] I've got a list or two.

Yeah, I forgot. [Looking upset with himself.] I'll have to remember to go to the next one. Things ought to have calmed down by then. Hopefully.

Uh-huh. [Conan's sure Merlin's joking but -- his parents are fond of rubbing in his younger exploits.]
