[ The screen flickers on to a blonde kid with a beanie pulled down so low it almost covers his eyes. He has an expression that somehow manages to be both incredibly confused and incredibly pleased at the same time. The feed wiggles around a little, and from the way his arm is positioned just off screen it's pretty clear he's screwing around with moving it the holographic panel. ]

Oh my god this is so awesome... and I thought my cellphone was cool.

[ The feed wiggles again... and then again more rapidly. Someone apparently is having a little much fun with his new toy. It abruptly stops and the teen looks almost sheepishly at the screen. ]

Oh crap... that was on wasn't it? Yeah... it was. I, uh.. sorry to anyone watching that.

[ Kazu is silent for a moment and tugs nervously on his hat for a moment. It looks like he might just be ready to escape this embarrassment all together and turn his neato bracelet thingermajiger off, but he pipes up again soon after. ]

I guess if anyone is out there this is a good time to ask if this whole thing is for real? That maid kind of explained things but she was... vaguely creepy.

Hmmmm....~ Well I don't think you're quite at that level of boring, given how a lot of the background here is still 'dull grey'.

[ Occasionally people forget he's actually there with them... and being attacked by the enemy. It would be more disheartening if it didn't happen so often. ]

Well... I am! Seriously! Not of, well, a country of course! But I'm the best there is at my style of skating... mostly.

Skating?? What do you mean by that?

[ Girl who doesn't know what skating is. This is officially the most surreal thing he has encountered here yet. ]

Well... first you need something to skate with. I use A-Ts. They're basically shoes with wheels uh, actually here, look...

[ He tilts the screen down towards his feet. Luckily he'd been wearing his when he was whisked away to here. His A-Ts basically looks like sneakers with two chunky wheels, one under the toe and one under the heel. ]

Basically they operate like anything with wheels, except they're just on your feet. With practice you can go really fast and pull off some neat tricks with them too. They're really really fun!

[She's peering closely at the holographic screen, squinting her eyes and frowning. Ugly shoes with wheels?]

Wouldn't you need good balance to move with those things on?

Well you need some balance yeah, but it's not that hard. With practice it's something anyone can do.

And you're king of skating, huh...? [Does that mean he's the most graceful of all the weirdos with wheels on their shoes??]</small

Well uh, it's complicated. There are several different styles of skating so there are several different kings, I'm just one of 'em.

[ Naw, not the most graceful... that fastest maybe though! ...and he is no weirdo :| ]

So you're not even a real king. You're just good at moving around on shoes with wheels. [UNIMPRESSED.]

[ Kazu is not surprised with her reaction. Somehow... somebody somewhere will take him seriously one of these days... ]

It's not just moving around though... there are also tons of tricks and stuff...

In person is probably better because I kind of move around a lot, something stationary wouldn't catch everything...

[ He pauses and taps his chin. The motors in his A-Ts weren't really working at their full capacity right now so he couldn't do anything ultra fancy... ]

You don't happen to know any places outside that that have stairs with handrails do you?

Sure! There are a bunch of places around the city with those.

Tell me how to get to the longest one you can think of and I'll show you some real cool tricks!

Hmmm... how about the castle? It's got a few really long rails....
