How many of you knew of an "Asgard" before arriving here? Be it a place, a land, a person, a book, an animal race or something else. Fictional or real both apply.

To rephrase: Did the word "Asgard" exist and mean anything in your world, and if yes, what? Or did you encounter it first after being drafted to this place?

No, but there's probably no pattern, so there's a chance you'll have to stay until everything here has finished. And throwing yourself into a life here, letting yourself live here, will finish our task faster.

I'm surprised that you're still alone, considering how long you've been here.

I don't have anyone here from home, but I'm far from alone. [Bravely.] I've made lots of friends here who've helped me get through things.

I wasn't very close to a lot of my friends back home, anyway. I just met them last summer at a Nature School, and... it had to close early.

Well... have you ever been to a summer camp? It's like that, except you've got assignments and homework and whatnot.

No, I haven't.

So it's school when you should be on vacation?

Yeah, you go out into nature and learn about it. There was a beautiful beach there... I'd never been to the seaside before.

[He lives only a couple of kilometres off the coast, so that is a strange thought for him.]

We lived inland, and didn't have the money for a vacation. This was cheaper, so my mom just stayed home and sent me. She could be selfless like that.

Um... yeah. I never knew my dad.

I never knew my mother. [Owen is his father to Bran, no matter what blood says, so he knew his father from the start.]

I'm sorry. It can be hard, having only one parent.

We've always had dogs. [he shrugs slightly. Being shunned by the people around their house and not really being allowed to do anything was harder.]

Oh... [A little confused by the connection, there.] Do pets help?

They are an additional presence. [And you can hug them without it being a big deal. He has always associated mothers, or motherly types, with hugs. At least that is true for the women in his life.]

Yeah... that's true. We never had pets. I used to ask for one, but when I got old enough to understand the money and time it would take, I understood why we couldn't.

They were herding dogs, no money wasted. I didn't grow up in a city.

Herding? So you had livestock, too?

Sheep. I'm from the Welsh countryside, there aren't too many other options. [Mining, though that has gone down a lot, and things that pertain to the sea - and then moving into the big cities, Tywyn or further away. Bits of farming, and the additional third sector works that come with humans being around.]

Welsh? I'm afraid I don't know where that is. [Apologetically.] I'm Japanese, and only in seventh grade, so I haven't taken a lot of geography.
