☾001☽ video/action
[Yuri is seated in the kitchen of Odin House. He's made himself some tea. This particular kind of tea is not ideal, and the same can be said of the honey, which is of rather low quality, but it will have to do for now. He takes a thoughtful sip, then returns the teacup to its saucer.
He operates his bracelet with ease, beginning a video feed; he's used to similar technology, and he experimented with the device until he became proficient in its use. When he speaks, his expression is grave, his voice calm. He has himself under control now, and there's no outward sign of the anger he feels.]
My name is Yuri Petrov. I'd like to make a public statement of my dissent, though I doubt whether our captors will listen or respond.
No matter the stated aims of those who have brought us here--and those are dubious, at best--it is never acceptable to abduct people from their homes and hold them against their will without cause. It is an inhumane and insupportable act. Children have been taken from their families, and parents from their children, I'm sure. Others have been prevented from carrying out their duties, great and small. No matter the details of our lives, those lives have been disrupted. Many of us are rightfully distressed, though I have no authority to speak on behalf of others now, but speak only as myself.
In accordance with the ideals of civil disobedience, I refuse to willingly participate in this endeavor. I can never agree or cooperate with those who would subvert justice in this reprehensible fashion. However, I will do whatever I can to aid others in the same situation, and to those who feel as I do, you may consider me your ally.
[Well, he's said his piece. With that, he takes another sip of his tea.]

[video] APOLOGIES FOR A LATE TAG
[ On the other end of the video feed, Jr.'s expression is tight with anger, his eyes hard. But after a moment, he sighs heavily and the tension seems to unwind from his small body. ]
I don't think I'd be able to not help, though. Not for the sake of these "gods," but for the sake of the people who live here.
[video] That's cool, I love all the tags!
[He nods. He appreciates the support and agreement. It's good to know he's not the only one who's angered by the situation.]
I understand. The people who live here... If they are innocent of fault, they should not be penalized. [He pauses.] However, if I were someday to find myself dependent on another's captivity for my well-being, I would analyze the situation I found myself in very critically. Would my gain be worth the cost?
I wonder.
[video] Sweet! :D
[ Jr. rests his chin on his palm, listening intently. He's pretty impressed with Yuri so far. ]
I hear you. This is a damn far cry from an ideal situation, but even knowing that, I'm not gonna hold it against these people. There's still so much we don't know at this point, and until then, I've gotta do what I can for the innocents.
Considering the way we've been brought here, "chosen", as it were, I don't see why the gods could not have selected people who would willingly help them, or send those home who don't wish to remain. There are a number of people who would like to stay. [Yuri knows this, because he has already argued with some of them.]
Yet I agree that waiting and learning more is the best course of action at the current time. One shouldn't be rash where such things are concerned.
[ As Yuri speaks, Jr. nods in agreement, gaze distant. He itches with the need to keep moving, but forces himself to remain still for the moment to listen. ]
Yeah. The whole business is pretty damn fishy. I mean, it’s like you said; they could have easily had their pick of willing volunteers, but instead they keep the entire selection. But why? I know this one kid was asking about it, trying to figure out the correlation between all of us and why we were picked. He wanted to know our levels of importance on our individual worlds. Important people, people with authority and power, those who are heroes — when it comes down to that, it sounds more like these “gods” are collecting the strongest pieces for their board game, if you ask me.
[ So much for staying still; hopping down off the wall he’d been sitting on, Jr. folds his arms across his chest, bracelet hand on top, and paces slowly. ]
And then there’s the fact that a bunch of us were randomly and, without explanation, put in new Houses. I considered the idea that we were kicked out of Heimdall, originally, but when I got to talking to this other guy, Allen, he pointed out that it’s possible Freya just stole us from Heimdall. Gods hoarding chess pieces, you know?
[ He sighs darkly. ]
It’s bullshit, but yeah. In the end, we have little other choice other than wait, collect information, and see.
