Reduced prices on the first day. Has a room for parties or meetings. Interior is also exhibition pieces and can be ordered.

a name for the store
cook (m/f)

help with advertisements
carpenting assistant (can be a child, too)

[Coming from a time and place where confirmation (for which one is usually 14) marks the transition from childhood to adulthood, where the average teenager is thus expected to enter into the workforce, "higher" education or something similar and where the average girl gets married between 15 and 17, 14 does not sound too young to him at all.

Is there any issue with that in this place? He does not want to get into trouble because he employs someone who is too young.]

[He'd really like to know what ":o" and "<33" mean, but that could come out as uneducated or as if he is trying to make fun of her. He just cannot think of a good way to ask - maybe Finland will know, though he doubts it. Maybe he can find it out by himself over time.]

[Two young men of 16 and 18 are working outside of the store, painting and arranging flowers and attaching things and just in general making it look nice. The taller of the two turns when he hears her arrive and then for a minute or so just stands there, looking her up and down with one of the scariest faces that she has ever seen.]

[The shorter boy is (thankfully) much less intimidating, and offers Jade a smile and a small wave. Curious as her ears may be, he's trying his hardest to keep from staring.]

I'm glad that I won't be the only one here. I've never worked in a restaurant before, so it's a new experience for me. Maybe we can teach each other how things work!

If it's your first job then it makes sense that you're excited! I was excited too the first time Swe let me help with his woodwork. The only problem is that I'm not nearly as good with my hands as he is. Figuring out what type of things to make is something that would suit me better, though I would probably get in the way more than anything else. It's probably best that I won't be doing any woodworking here, right?

[With a sheepish laugh, he'll stand aside to allow Jade to enter first.]

But I think managing the storefront will be more fun!
