[ having been in asgard for a little under a week, syaoran had been busy getting to know the area and finding out what he could. while he was generally resourceful, there were limits to everything.

so that's what brings him to make a post. he'd do a text if he could figure out how, but for now he'll just deal with video. ]

[ there's a short pause on his end, before he adds in another question. ]

And how long have the people you've known stayed?

[ oh, there. that wasn't so bad! shutting the feed almost instantaneously, there wasn't anything else that he could really add—before he sets out of his house to do some more exploring of the city. syaoran will practically be everywhere during the morning and afternoon, observing both the area and the people around him. it might be a little odd and unnerving at first, but it doesn't take long for him to move onto the next thing if there's nothing stopping him from doing so. everything is totally normal about this, honestly! ]

[ and she turns to look. ]

Ah! Syaoran-kun!

[ yeah, moving towards him if only to keep herself moving around and not fidget on the spot. wow there's really that nagging feeling inside her to get out of the heimdall district right now. ]

I wanted to visit you, that's all. To see if you're okay.

[ pushing himself aside -- there were more important matters to attend to first. ]

... How long have you been waiting here?

[ what does she say what does she say . . . ]

Not too long, don't worry. [ more smiling, more fidgeting. ] I tried asking if you're around but they said they did see you inside your house.

[ his eyes narrow, giving her a look over.

sakura is probably as good as lying as she is at not being clumsy. ]

You didn't have to come all this way to check up on me. [ while he wouldn't deny that it was nice to see her, he felt guilty making her wait so long. ] And you could've -- just sent a message. [ not that he even knew about it until today... ]

Well, anyway. [ ... ] Since I'm already out, [ he looks to the side, ] I can walk you home.

[ forever trying to smile -- and not be spotted for that white lie. also she's still not used to the bracelet thing so yeah sending messages isn't really an option. so complex for a kid from 1999!! ]

Oh -- [ yeah leaving heimdall is a good idea. very good idea. ] Let's look around instead! I heard there's a park somewhere and a carnival too.

[ so she can finally. settle some stuff. with him. ]

[ trying -- not to blush at implications. ]

... All right. I haven't gone there yet, so why not?

[ thinking thinking. ] It's not too far from here. This way --

[ he remembers passing by it a couple times, when heading toward the Sigyn district. . . ]

[ she'll quickly follow him -- not too close but not too far either. she's managing successfully not to suddenly rush out of the district so as not to worry syaoran, just in case he started thinking something's wrong with her.

. . . since she doesn't know what's wrong with her either.

So -- how have you been, Syaoran-kun? Have you been settling in well in your House?

[ why is this so awkward... oh right. it's because his name is syaoran li. ]

It's been fine, more or less. Most of the people in the House keep to themselves. [ he pauses for a moment, thinking of what else there was to say. ] ... Ah, I've mostly been going around and doing reconnaissance. I've been pretty successful with it lately --

[ if she's curious, all she has to do is ask and he'll answer. else he just ends it at that. for reasons. ] ... -- How's Sigyn?

Sigyn has a lot of friendly people. I made a few friends.

[ she pauses thoughtfully. most of the people in heimdall keep to themselves . . . but doesn't that mean . . .

brb walking a bit faster to catch up to him and suddenly grabbing at his sleeve -- only to let go quickly, blushing again. oh right. syaoran likes his personal space. ]

[ of course not, sakura. syaoran's the bully -- i mean! ]

the holding onto his sleeve -- that is. ]

... You don't have to be so careful all the time, you know.

[ his voice is lower than a murmur, so it might be a little difficult to make out his words. ]

[ because yeah -- if anything it'd be the reverse.

she averts her gaze away from him, looking at the ground for a bit. ]

Syaoran-kun's really kind so he always keeps things to himself to make sure he doesn't worry anyone. [ something she's been noticing for a while now. ] So that's why I thought . . .

[ that him saying that is his way for her to not fret over him or what. ]
