It works remarkably similar to the call bracelets... [ Except, you know. Now it clashes with your outfit, Barnaby. ]

But there's an open communication line... Hello? Is anyone there? [ He adjusts his glasses as he inspects the screen. ]

It has more capabilities than the call bracelets, even... [ He's talking to himself rather than to viewers, and seems to be scrolling around through whatever piques his interest, not that anyone watching can see what that is, exactly. ]

Hmh... I am Barnaby Brooks Jr., Hero, and I just arrived here. I believe some further explanation is needed... [ Well... at least he's being levelheaded about his new circumstances.

His brows furrow at something on the screen, and the feed clicks off. Oops, guess he just figured out how to turn it off. ]

I've been here more than two months now. According to the so-called gods, we're taken from different time periods and apparently will be returned to the moment we were taken from, so no one would have noticed my absence.

A war? Don't tell me they're making us fight here...

No. As NEXT, we have powers. We're paid to deal with Sternbild's crime for HeroTV.

Oh. [ That makes more sense, and it takes a second to sink in. ] So you're heroes for hire, then. Kinda takes all the selflessness out of being a "hero", doesn't it?

Not necessarily. [ He snorts, cause hell if that's really true for any of the Heroes, especially Kotetsu. ]

You want selfless? Talk to my partner. He's in Sigyn, with a bunch of healers. [ He chuckles a little. Yup, Tiger's a great big bleeding heart and we all know it. ]
