video. (1x03)
[ the video flickers on to a table--it looks to be in Odin, where the Eleventh Doctor is sitting with one leg slung over the other, what looks to be a Scrabble handbook in one hand.
there's a game currently in progress, letters clearly seen. except they're a bit different from what you might qualify as letters. he flips to the last page with a huff and sets it back down, then laces his fingers together. ]
Now, if you lot have played Scrabble before, good! If not, you really ought to expand your board game database, it's really quite fun! Better than Monopoly--who likes Monopoly? Monopolies were outlawed for a reason.
Rubbish game.
[ oh, right, he should stop rambling. ]
So! Me and... myselves, Ninth and Tenth, are in a bit of a pickle: should "of Rassilon" be acceptable as a suffix? It's as commonplace as "ing" in the English language.
Sort of. Maybe. It's got to count.
I'm sure of it.
[ ooc: the other two Doctors, (
andsowasi) and (
tardisblue) will also be responding to comments, so don't fear if we skip someone! ]

But still the same. Huh. [His gaze looks a little far away for a moment. It sounds almost like Sora and Roxas. Different, but still the same. He gets it.
A thoughtful pause, until he looks back up.] So I guess that explains why someone else was calling himself 'The Doctor'. But how do I distinguish you from them?
...Eleven?
video; (private)
Eleven's good. Or Eleventh. The one in the leather's Ninth. The talky, porcupine-y one is Tenth.
We all go by the Doctor, though, so if you're in trouble and don't care--just call.
Don't listen to anyone called the Master, though.
video; (private)
I think I might have talked to Tenth earlier then. But I got it. Yell out Doctor and I'll get at least one of you.
[Any smile he had though is disappeared. The Master sounds a lot like a title Ansem or Maleficent would have used.]
The Master?

[ a pause. ]
He's an old friend.
A very powerful, dangerous old friend. Powerful, dangerous, and charming--deathly combinations.
video; (private)
[Sounds almost like someone he knows. His expression hardens.]
I'll be sure to keep an eye out for him.
video; (private)
Yes, well, if you keep an eye out for him, don't go anywhere near him. Alert one of us immediately, don't bother talking or reasoning with him, whatever he's saying.
video; (private)
[A beat.] ...But I'll keep it in mind.
video; (private)
[ a sigh. he runs his hand through his hair. worry shines in his eyes, and his voice is low. ]
I know you've gone through a lot, Riku, I can see it plain on your face, the way you frown and the way you smile. You and your friends, no doubt, have gone through a lot. [ he opens his mouth, but then just exhales, pressing his lips tightly shut, squaring his jaw. ] My past incarnations haven't been... together, haven't met in a long time. Not like this.
If they're here now, you can only imagine.. what's to come.
video; (private)
He knows to take warnings seriously, and he does. He knows the value in listening to others (although accepting help from someone not Kairi or Sora is still not easy).
But there's something about this man... is he really that transparent against him? He knows he's not the same person as he was two years ago, when the idea of building that raft came to them. But is he that pained by the past? Normally, he could just lock things away and no one that didn't need to know would ask.
...He sighs.]
Nothing good, I'd assume.
video; (private)
No. Nothing good.
Almost as bad as the Silence.

Now think of turning to see it, being scared, and turning away, and then never remembering it was there in the first place.
Once you look away, it's not there to you. Only while you're looking at it are you completely terrified and able to sense you're in danger.
That is part of the Silence.
video; (private)
Dammit. There's not a lot that scares Riku anymore after the year and a half of hell he went through.
But dear sir, that is creepy as hell.]
...A convenient trick for them. [And that's all he'll really say on the matter, keeping his face expressionless. Not going to show how much the thought of that unnerves him.]
video; (private)
Really, their biology isn't very interesting--that's the bit that makes you forget once you turn away. It's almost the same as another creature, a Weeping Angel. ... must've evolved differently.
[ sorry, bit of a tangent, and he doesn't look particularly happy. he looks quite old, and tired, and he isn't perking up. ]
It's a very good thing that Asgard doesn't seem to attract any of them.
video; (private)
He feels a chill up his spine but restrains himself from shivering. Thinking about these beings, and remembering how Ansem was...]
Doesn't seem like your universe is very lucky with things like those around.
But that's one thing we can be grateful for at least. Asgard seems to be clean from creatures we know from home.
video; (private)
[ he lifts his head and gives a tight smile. ]
Any creatures you're not keen on having here?
video; (private)
[He hesitates. The chances of some swarm of Heartless getting pulled in is kind of low, but Elven did just tell him about his own monsters, and if he knew, then he'd have someone other than Sora to fall back on if a swarm did show up out of the blue.]
...Yeah, some. Mostly shadow-like things, called Heartless.
video; (private)
[ he leans forwards, interested in hearing a bit more. ]
S'that literal?
video; (private)
But yeah, to some extent it is. They're monster, made from former hearts that were lost.
video; (private)
No, that doesn't sound like you'd want them up and about.
And what do they do?
video; (private)
Prey on people, consume more hearts... and envelope worlds into darkness.
video; (private)
Re: video; (private)
Let me know if you see or hear anything about them here. Shadowy creatures with glowing gold eyes. They're sort of...
[Ngh, he doesn't want to say it, and his eyes dart to the side, to the Keyblade off camera as he trails off. It's not really his. It's more of Sora's thing, but Sora doesn't have his Keyblade.
He'll just have to substitute, even though he wants to scream it's Sora's job and he's only helping.]
...Sort of my responsibility.
video; (private)
[ his voice is quieter now, to meld with Riku's subdued expression. ]
