I do believe strongly in the importance of the legal system.

[It's slightly odd having to describe a city everyone he's ever known was familiar with.] In brief, Sternbild is a coastal megalopolis located between two rivers, one of the world's most prominent cities. From my perspective, it's much more modern than the city we find ourselves in currently.

A megalopolis -- can you give me an estimate of the population?

I'm not sure if it's connected or not, but Mouri-ojichan's one of the most famous detectives in Japan, so I guess he's associated with the legal system too ... ah, and I'm associated with him, obviously!

That depends on how one defines the region and which of the outlying areas one chooses to include, but I'd say approximately twenty-five million would be a fair, conservative estimate for the city proper.

I see. What is your connection with him, if I may ask? Have you met any others here who are involved with the legal system in some way?

That's a pretty big city -- so your job would be a pretty big responsibility?

I live with him and his daughter while my parents are travelling -- and I help him on cases! I'm really good at spotting clues that might otherwise get overlooked!

I'd say so, yes. I like to think I'm up to the challenge. I also have a secondary duty as curator for a television program known as Hero TV. [Which he supposes he should explain, if this young man isn't familiar with Sternbild.] It's a reality program that follows a number of Heroes as they apprehend criminals.
