5th Spark || [Video]
[The Travelers get a good view of Merlin's room when the video starts and--hang on, what's...that? No, your eyes do not deceive you. Where there was only one grumpy owl before, there are now about ten of varying sizes, perched all around the room. A few ruffle their feathers, as if in greeting. Despite the feathery chaos behind him, Merlin seems to be perfectly fine, and isn't paying them any attention at all.]
I think, between the dragon, the ice faeries, and the stabbings, the city's gotten pretty dangerous recently. I don't know how getting hurt by a good friend or family member fits into all this, but the ice faeries weren't that much of a surprise, if you think about what Odin told us. [Here, he picks up a sheet of paper and glances at it before continuing.] There's Muspellheim with the fire king Surt--he's the one who sent the dragon--and there's Thrymheim with the frost queen Thiazi. We didn't get a declaration of war from the queen like with the dragon, but the ice faeries are probably close enough.
Between all that's happened, it looks like everyone's going to be affected. I mean, they weren't exactly choosy about the people they were targeting. You think it'd be a good idea if we built some sort of fort for the people who don't want to fight? People usually go to the hospital for shelter, but we've gotten overwhelmed there nearly every single time something happens. There's just too many of us here now.
[Merlin frowns down at the paper again.] Oh yeah, there's a few of us who would teach newcomers how to use their abilities, in case any of you need it. More people willing to help us with that would be great--just the god's abilities, though. If you want lessons for weapon-use, you'll be wanting to see Arthur Pendragon for that. Or Albion--er...England, I mean. I think they're looking for some help with The Citadel, too.
Private to Sam Winchester:
Hey, Odin mentioned another city--Utgard. It looks like the natives are allowed to go there, but none of us are. Know anything about it?
Private to Lucifer:
When did you want to meet again?

[Says it so matter-of-factly]
I am more concerned about the state of Camelot than my own life.

If...if you were injured, then there must be someone who can heal you. Your world's Merlin or...anyone.

In his mind's eye, Merlin can see the hatred on Mordred's face as he pushes himself off the forest ground, eyes finding Merlin among the trees almost immediately. I will remember this, he had said.
It seems like by letting him go, Merlin had sealed Arthur's fate afterall.]
His name--the one who killed you. What is his name?

[It seemed to pain her]
1/2 omg

Your son?

[This is clearly the most important thing.]
How--who--?

[Yeah, one of those jokes Merlin played?]
But magic can change many things however temporarily.
no subject
...okay, maybe just two is sufficient.]
Magic. You're telling me...the Merlin from your world turned you into a man for a short while.
[Does that mean it's possible to turn--okay, no. Those thoughts are better off unexplored. And Arthur would kill him. Painfully.]
You said you had been disguising yourself as a man this whole time. Why didn't he find a way to leave you as a man if the switch is possible? I mean...wouldn't it just be easier that way?
no subject
[a pause]
And more than that...I found being a man...was distracting.
no subject
[Yep, his voice definitely squeaked on the last word.]
Wait--side effects--what do you mean it was distracting? No, wait. Don't answer that.

[She's keeping a straight face, but she kind of wants to laugh at him]

Oy--you can't lump us all together like that!
[Turning so red, and sputtering now.]
/sliiiiides in here
[ Arthur goes from fearing for his life to ???!?!?!!???? in .04 seconds. New world record! ]
/boots
I don't know, don'taskme.
[Let's not talk about how flustered he is right now, okay? OKAY. Good. Moving on.]
Is Arthur walking in on her while she's on the phone then?
Let's assume it's a three-way call...
[Suddenly, he can definitely believe she's a female version of Arthur.]
works for me~
Gods, Merlin, you've really got to learn a thing about propriety. Perhaps we can start lessons while you scrub the bathroom floor.

Good gods. Both of you need to stop that right now. [He looks between the two images, glowering.] You've all got the wrong idea!
no subject
You've no need to indulge his depravity, Arturia. It'd be best for everyone to let him learn when he's older.
This is officially the best thread
