[As the screen flicks on the Tenth Doctor gives a mock grimace, rubbing the side of his neck as if unsure about something.] So, Norse Gods? Really? I'm not too sure on that one. Guess that depends on the dimension? Though if they'd been around all this time I'm sure someone would have noticed... Oh right, of course- silly me. I got distracted.

[Not that the Doctor looks very sorry or concerned about it as he gives the screen a wave.]

Hullo everyone. I'm the Doctor and I guess I'm the newest guest in your little community. I have everything I need apparently, my bracelet, a map, good things. I wouldn't mind my sonic screwdriver but that is a bone of contention I'm not going to get into for a while. At least five minutes anyway.

I'm the Doctor. Just the Doctor before anyone asks. Aaaaaand yep. That's about it. I'm not really good at blogging. Nice little communications system this place has going though! Wouldn't mind a look at that, though that would require my sonic screwdriver.

[At that the Doctor pauses, looking at his wrist.]

Okay I lied, that was two minutes tops. Law of averages says that if I'm here, there'll be people I know here. So speak up or forever hold your peace! Or just say hello later on, that's alright too I guess..... hm. Right then. Time to have a look around this place, take a look at what's going on with my own two eyes. Alons-y!

[Opens his mouth to say Donna Noble! but pauses when the scolding starts. Okay, he'll just wait. And reminisce. It's so very good to see Donna again without her burning up.]

Well you do know they say absence makes the heart grow fonder right? [Grins and scratches behind his hear for a moment. Apologies? What are those?]

So how long has it been? And what's the last thing you remember? That last bit is important by the way, think of it like you had a good night out and can't remember getting home.

[Her expression darkens.] Ohhhh, no you don't. You're not gettin' out of this one. The lot of you have been dodgin' about somethin' and I want to know what.

It always applies to me, Donna. And getting out of what? I'm not dodging anything, not at all! There's nothing to dodge! Maybe just casually tiptoeing around, but nope, no dodges here....

[Dammit, he's going to need to say something. The Doctor knows how tenacious Donna can be.]

I can't say. You need to trust me on this, Donna.

[Most of the fight goes out of her, but she's still glowering.] This is one of those timeline things, isn't it? Spoilers.

All right. Last thing I remember is the Crucible. I was about to follow you an' the others out, then the TARDIS door shut. Somethin' was happenin' outside, the whole place startin' to fall apart. Then I woke up here.

Did I die, Doctor? [Remember the Library? She is definitely "All right"--and she can't forget the way River had looked at her then, like she was looking at a ghost. It makes sense to her. The Doctor's regeneration being surprised to see her, never mentioning her to his new companion. Why else would she stop traveling with him?]

[Gives a rueful smile, nodding at the mention of the crucible. Right up until the part that changed everything and robbed him of yet another friend. This is good though! They can chinwag and she won't be damaged by it. A definite relief.]

Die? Of course not! I wouldn't let you do that, and you're too stubborn to die anyway. I promise you, on everything, that you're not dead.
