[So if you've been looking for Shiage today, he hasn't been out and about much. In fact, it looks like he's holed himself up in his (completely cleaned up) room. And what has he been doing all of this time? It looks like he's been playing video games. Dating sims, in fact. There's nothing harmless about this, right?

Obviously... When you've had your kokoro crushed, the most rational option is to close it off and dive into a place where you think everything is sunshine and rainbows. There's going to be a "Kyaaaaa!" and a "BAD COMMUNICATION" from the TV and Shiage mumbles something under his breath before he speaks more clearly.]

... Dammiiiiiit! If I only I had built up more affections points on Day 3, then maybe I could've tried jumping for Sakura-chan's route! Ahhh, but I can't resist the Class President's charms either! I really wanna clear her route too... Man, there's a lot of cuties in this game! [He still looks like ridiculously happy, though. Can't say it's the "healthy and normal" happy.]

But isn't that festival coming up soon? Heh heh heh~ Maybe I could rebound for the super moe Kisarag--Um, Sakura-chan before then! That could work out as long as I work hard enough. After I clear this game, what should I play next? Maybe I could go for an RPG! Whatever. I've got all the time in the world 'til my soul burns out!

... [A beat.] 'Least nothin' can you hurt you when you're in the 2D world.

[Yeah, something sounded off about that last line there. Guess who became a gamer NEET overnight.]

That's a good point. I've already seen enough things, both weird and idiotic, in my life that I'm pretty sure I've lost that ability.

This place only contributed to that, really.

If the world ends, then we'd all be dead and that would be it. It's not exactly like we would be able to do anything about something as big and inevitable as the end of the world, right?

Of course we could do something! If we just beat the crap outta of the source that's tryin' to end it, then we can live on for a while longer! I'd rathet die fighting, than not doing something.

And what if the end of the world is caused by a meteor? You'll fly up into space and magically 'beat the crap' out of it? Or what if it's caused by humanity itself? The latter wouldn't surprise me, considering the sheer display of stupidity I've sometimes seen.

I'm not disagreeing about rather going down fighting, but it's a little unrealistic in those cases.

There's always a way! Even if it's completely unconventional! Where I'm from, I know it would be a easy enough to take out a meteor. [Maybe.] But I can't say much for humanity... But I won't lose hope within people even if things do become shitty.

Losing hope in people is actually pretty easy. I guess I can say I've already lost hope in most people a long time ago.

Hah? Why the hell is that?

Personal experience with way too many bad sides of humanity, let's keep it at that.

I already know how that feels. Then again, I guess I was a part of the dark side of humanity.

[ there's a slight pause, pondering if she should ask or not, but.. she just gives in to the curiosity in the end. ]

I used to believe that I was amongst the weak ones out there and didn't bother to lend a hand to people who were weaker than myself. It was some shitty excuse to pray upon other people because of my own misfortunes.

[ For a moment she's quiet, but when she speaks up she shrugs. ]
