So this is interesting. [Clay peers down at his bracelet curiously, though his tone is dry and his expression one of faint, almost exasperated amusement.] This little side trip definitely wasn't on my list of things to do, but it's nice to be pleasantly surprised for once.

Not really. Never having to worry about money, food, or shelter ever again is a pretty common dream.

True as that may be, most people cannot look past the abduction.

A big drawback to go with big advantages. It doesn't sound like there's much point in going home, though.
