✖ 002, S.O.S.

[Greetings, Asgard! Your bonafide Bonnefoy seems to be well and situated in Freya by now, which is a good thing. His greeting, however, is mildly er, nonexistent and he sounds almost up to his eyeballs in unsures.]

I have ah-- [he pauses, looking at something off-screen rather critically; those fine features and MANLY STUBBLE crinkling in distaste as if he just imagined his mother naked and frolicking with Rome... Which he'd had the misfortune of seeing once, actually--] Now, mes amis! I am not a judgmental man. [He just lies like a rug]

Mais-- Well, I could not help but notice the overwhelming amount of English that have been brought as fellow Traveler to Asgard.

[The hidden, or not so hidden message is I am DROWNING in the ENGLISH. Send help. ]

I am just wondering if there is a reason for this favoritism, hm? Why not say-- the French? If they wanted their city to be colorful again my culture is much more familiar with the expression. No offense, hm? Consider it a case of being homesick...

[He smiles, disarmingly, perhaps, fumbling with his pack of cigarettes before flicking the transmission off. WAY TO LITERALLY OFFEND HALF OF ASGARD, FRANCIS.]

[What anniversary? He doesn't know of any anniversaries.]

[Since Francis is so intent on being human, there's no point in honoring an anniversary of something that happened between nations now is there? If Fran doesn't want to see him in the first place, Arthur certainly wouldn't dare bother him with some stupid obligation.]

[Oh, yes, call him a heartless bastard. Of course France would think that didn't mean anything to England. Maybe he's wrong, but what's the point in arguing with him? It's not as if Francis sees Arthur as anything more than a smudge on his boot, the fucking idiot. Maybe it meant a lot and it would hurt to feel as though the only reason they would speak again was because of the date of April 8th.]

[Of course he understands that. Again, he's not heartless; only completely justified in being disbelieving of the deceitful, flighty pile of self-important rubbish who couldn't ever understand why England doesn't trust him in the first place. Of course he doesn't want to know what that idiotic fuck thinks of him--he doesn't want to be deceived, used, left to rot. That the bastard can't even grasp that and certainly hasn't attempted to do so is all the more infuriating.

He wishes you hadn't come to the city. You've made everything far more complicated than it ought to be, as you always do.

The silence is for the best.]
