[The feed begins with a view of young man grinning like an idiot.]

Ah, so if this place gives everyone supernatural abilities, isn't there a question we must be asking ourselves?

I mean, we can't all be biologically suited for that kind of thing already, right? We've probably been modified in some way...!

But what way? That and my beloved Celty are what I sit here daydreaming about....

[A pause.]

So I was thinking...if I examined a few of you....maybe I could find out! Any volunteers?

I don't have the head! That's not why she's with me! Celty's with me because she wants to be!

[madamemoiselle]

If you say so.

[the kanyest shrugs of kanyeshrugs] Hey, but you still shouldn't examine people. It's kind of weird.

[loveandevil]

I'm a doctor. It's kind of what I do.

[madamemoiselle]

[She can't help but visibly bristle, all the cheer evaporating into instant distrust]

Oh, are you? What kind of doctor, if I can ask?

[loveandevil]

Ah...just a very basic medical doctor.

[What is this hostility...]

[madamemoiselle]

[just a lot of issues, don't take it personally!!]

Ah~ Then I guess a lot of humans think you're useful here, huh?

[There's no explanation of the strange wording, and she immediately jumps to a different subject to avoid talking about it] Couldn't it just be magic, though? I mean there might be anything different with us. Like mine is just singing, so I don't see how anything could change anyways.

Yeah. I usually pretty picky about what jobs I take, though.

[Shinra no don't give away that you work illegally for gangsters...]

Well if it's singing, wouldn't it be a change in your vocal chords? In my experience, supernatural or "magic" things are always biologically different in some way.

[madamemoiselle]

[She shakes her head]

No, my vocal cords are the same. At home, I could manipulate them, so I know they're definitely the same.

[loveandevil]

...What do you mean by "manipulate them?"

[madamemoiselle]

I could change them. I could change my whole appearance, actually, but I didn't like to do that. So sometimes I would just change my vocal cords to imitate someone's voice for fun. I'm still pretty good at imitating voices, but nothing's actually changing.

[loveandevil]

...That's amazing! If only they hadn't removed that from you...!

[madamemoiselle]

[Her lips purse slightly, unsure of how to take this compliment...]

[so she'll go for bragging] Well, I wish they hadn't! They took a lot more than that, and it's annoying.

[dramatic sigh] Chiroptera are superior beings, so we could do anything.

[loveandevil]

Chiroptera...you mean like bats?

[madamemoiselle]

[She's a little surprised that he made the connection, since most people don't. But after a moment of looking surprised, she shakes her head]

No, not really. I'm a Chiropteran. [Diva glances away, since something is weird about admitting this to a doctor] It's like a vampire.

...Eh, really?! That's so cool!

Would asking you to tell me about your species be weird or invasive?! I'm really curious about this kind of stuff, you know!

[madamemoiselle]

[uh oh, stranger danger!! What he says troubles her, but... he does seem genuinely interested and not really malicious. And besides that, she's safe, since they're not even talking in person. She pauses, but offers hesitantly,]

I can tell you some things. If you're really that interested.

[loveandevil]

That'd be really, really great, if you don't mind!

[madamemoiselle]

[Well, where to start? She has to think about it for a moment, but figures the basic things that anyone would figure out quickly were good enough.]

Well, I drink blood to live. It's my food. Human blood is the only kind that works, too, so animals don't do anything for me. The faceless people here taste funny, so I prefer the ones that have them, or the people that were brought here. Normal humans, you know? I don't have to eat as often as humans, though, so at least there's that.

[loveandevil]

How much blood do you have to drink at once? Enough to kill or seriously injure the person, or would it be okay if you just found someone willing to donate some?

[madamemoiselle]

I don't know the exact amount or anything. It's just until I get full.

[A small shrug] It's usually enough to injure them, but I don't have to kill them to feel alright. People donating, though, that's more like a snack.

[loveandevil]

Ah, I see...that probably makes it difficult for you, doesn't it?

[madamemoiselle]

Not really. [Coolly, like she's telling him about the weather, or something equally unimportant] I take people's blood when I want it. I don't really care much about them.

[loveandevil]

[...He doesn't seem as bothered by this as most people would be. Weirdo.]

So do you just grab the nearest human when you're hungry?

[madamemoiselle]

[She's both comforted and very bothered by his reaction--Acceptance is always good, but a doctor lacking in morals? Less so.]

Oh, no, I'm picky about my food. Usually when I get hungry I'll be looking all day, then get the one that I picked once it gets dark.

What's your criteria, then? What kind of human makes a good meal?
