[Have your first look at Tear Grants.]

[The video's upside down and way too close to her face. Her brows are furrowed and there's the reflection of her bracelet in her blue eyes. But it rights itself as Tear pulls back and corrects the video, giving a much nicer view of a stern-faced girl with long brown hair. She clears her throat.]

This is Sergeant Tear Grants speaking. I've been given a rundown of the situation thus far. ....It seems for the moment there's no alternative.

I've been told this device is a means of communication. If possible, I'd like to know who is here, and see what can be done.

[A curt nod, and click off.]

Many people are here, with more coming in every day.

No one is very sure what can be done just yet, though.

Is anybody making plans of any sort?

There is a menu off to the side of the program that shows a list of people posting things. I think that's all of us, but it keeps growing and changing.

[And there's Lirael trying to be helpful. In text format, because yeah, always, and Tear is officially intimidating.]

For what?

Ideally..to decide how to go about this task they've set before us.

Or to find a way home. [A small sigh.]

That's a lot of people to arrive at once. It's rather disconcerting..

I don't consider waking up kidnapped somewhere to be anything but business.

Hm... that's a pretty professional way of looking at it.

Juuza Amakusa... I've served some time in the military, but it never stuck. [ getting kicked out of two armies and exiled out of a country will do that! ] How you could say I'm something of an... independent specialist.

[She leans in closer, giving you a good view of the bags under her eyes again.]

Hello? Hello? [There's a concerned look to her eye too.] Are you alright?

[There's a long pause, and then you get this...]

It's practical more than professional.

[She gives a nod of acknowledgment. There's something dodgy in the way he phrased that, but she can't put her finger on what.] What's your specialty?

[She's not good with fontech - she barely got this thing working right for her. It takes a moment to read the text.]

Is there a way to make it show image, or just voice?

Specialty? Well... I've always had a knack for machines.

And I do some freelance bodyguard work on the side. Anything to make some spare change.

This whole experience has been disconcerting, I think. And people are still arriving.

[Machines immediately makes her think of Guy, and she wonders if he's here too.]

I don't think money is something to worry about here. Our patrons are being rather generous. [A pause.] Whose house are you in?

I believe..if you write slowly and calmly, you can get the words with spaces.

[It takes a very long time for the next message to come through.]
