[Have your first look at Tear Grants.]

[The video's upside down and way too close to her face. Her brows are furrowed and there's the reflection of her bracelet in her blue eyes. But it rights itself as Tear pulls back and corrects the video, giving a much nicer view of a stern-faced girl with long brown hair. She clears her throat.]

This is Sergeant Tear Grants speaking. I've been given a rundown of the situation thus far. ....It seems for the moment there's no alternative.

I've been told this device is a means of communication. If possible, I'd like to know who is here, and see what can be done.

[A curt nod, and click off.]

What does Heimdall control?

It would appear that each of these gods has a different domain, and that is what determines the powers we were given.

[She barely knows what's going on herself, but if she can keep her voice calm and logical, then she can keep herself calm and rational too.]

[He'd been a little too distressed and unnerved to take in everything the maid said -- but he can remember the important parts, at least.]

[The messages were getting a little harder to decode, but not impossible.]

Healing and growth, is what the servant told me. I can heal. [Which she always could, and she's not sure how differently this power will manifest.]

[He is trying a few things to see if he can get out of text mode, but he's kind of afraid of breaking it even more--]

So, House Sigyn and House Heimdall may be related to different types of healing... perhaps.

[He's not sure exactly what that means overall, but that's progress.]

How so? The letter only specified the particular house you entered...I don't know much about the others just yet.

[She sighs. She's not a fan of of being ignorant.]

Nor do I. But Heimdall, my House, seems to grant a certain power that removes damage. I would call that a type of healing.

Difference between the two skills must exist - I'll admit I'm rather curious as to what that is.

You said your name was Allen? Where do you come from, before this?

It will be hard to tell without trying them both out. Though, I'm not sure how one goes about experimenting with healing spells.

[I mean, you'd need someone/something injured, wouldn't you....]

Yes... I come from Lucifenia, the Kingdom of Yellow.

[--He's pretty sure that doesn't mean jack to her, but well.]

Perhaps if there is a clinic somewhere in this city, one could test their skills in a way that's beneficial to those who need it. It's at least better than waiting until somebody becomes seriously injured.

[That's an..interesting name for a kingdom.] So it's true that we all come from different worlds...what is it like there?

That would be best; though I'm not sure how well-received beginning healers would be in such a clinic.

[Not to mention using the patients as guinea pigs, well... He doesn't think you can actually do harm with healing, however clumsy, but.

... And that's actually kind of a hard question, since he's barely ever been outside his country to compare.]

Lucifenia is -- it's called Yellow because there are a number of yellow-haired people there, but it's nowhere near as great a number as the number of green-haired people... in the Kingdom of Elphegort. [His voice catches for a moment; there... probably aren't that many green-haired people anymore.]

It's a beautiful kingdom bordered by forests and the sea. A strong kingdom -- I hear that in the wars of the past, it defeated even the Empire of Belzenia.

Every healer begins somewhere, and it's not on the mortally wounded. Ideally, if there is a clinic or hospital, they'll have small cuts to practice on.

[Not that she's not nervous herself. It's been a long time since she's had to do healing without the use of Artes.]

Do you know if any one you know was brought here too?

[That assured statement earns you some definite curiosity:] Do you have experience with healing, Sergeant Grants?

[Because he has absolutely zero experience with anything involving powers, and so you basically sound to him like you know quite a bit more despite everything else being new.]

--No, I've not seen anyone I know since I arrived. [Despite that one embarrassing instance of mistaken identities.] Why do you ask? Is there some reason to believe they might be?
