[The video's upside down and way too close to her face. Her brows are furrowed and there's the reflection of her bracelet in her blue eyes. But it rights itself as Tear pulls back and corrects the video, giving a much nicer view of a stern-faced girl with long brown hair. She clears her throat.]

This is Sergeant Tear Grants speaking. I've been given a rundown of the situation thus far. ....It seems for the moment there's no alternative. 

I've been told this device is a means of communication. If possible, I'd like to know who is here, and see what can be done.

[A curt nod, and click off.]

Hm... that's a pretty professional way of looking at it.

Juuza Amakusa... I've served some time in the military, but it never stuck. [ getting kicked out of two armies and exiled out of a country will do that! ] How you could say I'm something of an... independent specialist.

[She gives a nod of acknowledgment. There's something dodgy in the way he phrased that, but she can't put her finger on what.] What's your specialty?

Specialty? Well... I've always had a knack for machines.

And I do some freelance bodyguard work on the side. Anything to make some spare change.

[Machines immediately makes her think of Guy, and she wonders if he's here too.]

I don't think money is something to worry about here. Our patrons are being rather generous. [A pause.] Whose house are you in?

They provide the bare necessities... but if you want to move up in the world, you always need money.

Baldr... Guess he's my "patron god", or something like that. Hyahahha, kinda weird, I barely even know the guy.

I would rather find a way to my world than move up in this one. [And the bare necessities are all she needs to be content.]

It would be more suspicious if you did know him; nobody seems to have been brought with prior knowledge.

Hm... but if there was someone around who was in on it, would they really admit it? That'd make them public enemy number one.

True. But for the moment, it seems counterproductive to try and create a witch-hunt.

Now is just a time to remain clear-headed and rational. Blindly trusting everyone will help just as much as being paranoid of every person you meet.

Clear-headed and rational... that's easy to say, but hard to do. [ chuckle. ] But the lady I work for would probably say the same thing. You kinda remind me of her.

She's the same way. Even in a completely impossible situation, she wouldn't panic at all... [ sigh. ] It'd be cute if she lost her cool sometimes, but nope, she's always like that.

I guess it's just the vibe you two give off is similar.

[She gives a nod. She'll take it as a compliment, even if the cute part confuses and flusters her some. Cute is not something she'd consider herself to be.]

She sounds like a good companion to have. Is she here as well?

Yep... she's my boss at the moment. [ a sigh as he stretches his arms a bit. ] I run off to a place like this, and she still manages to follow me.

Oh well... keeps things interesting.

..at least there's somebody from your home with you. That must be some source of comfort.

[She crosses her arms.] What are your plans from here?

You're stuck on your own? Ah... that is kinda sad. It must get pretty lonely.

Well... I'll keep doing my job, keeping her out of trouble. And see what happens along the way. That was how I spent my days back home too, so no reason to change a good thing.

[She looks up, poker face back.] I'm fine on my own.

That's quite some loyalty to your boss, if you will continue to work despite being sent to another world. ..though I suppose stability is best now.

What can I say? I do what I know... and what I know is doing my job.

If your superiors showed up here, wouldn't you do the same?

[She blinks, a bit thrown by the question, and pauses to consider. Once upon a time, the answer would have been an immediate 'yes', but..after Mohs...]

..that would depend on all the circumstances at hand.

[ huh. someone in the military willing to think for herself? ]

Not following orders could get you into trouble. It's gotten me into a jam plenty of times.

Blind, unquestioning obedience leads to horrible problems of it's own. I've learned it's best to believe in the orders you're following, rather than shutting off your brain.

[But perhaps it does make her a bad soldier. Being the model knight isn't as important to her as it once was.]

Plus just following orders all the time isn't any fun. Life's more interesting when you do your own thing occasionally... even if it gets you into a bit of trouble.

I'm proud to be a soldier, so there's no use complaining about being given orders. Though it is nice to have some freedom...even if it was forced upon us.

Your boss. How is she doing, being here too?

Being a soldier's the only thing I know how to do, one way or the other. So I really have no choice.

Hm... I think she's a bit worried, but she hides it. There's a chance something good might happen for her though... so I've got my fingers crossed it will.
