[Sure is a regular day around here! I mean, it's colder than usual - part of why Hibiki's got a thick coat, scarf, and cap set today - but really, how odd could it be for it to get a bit chilly?

In fact, she was just on the way through her own district over to Odin's to see if she couldn't find some nice books when she first spotted the fairies. And given they're so beautiful...]

Wow! I have never seen anything like it! I wonder what it is...?

[Which, naturally, gets the attention of the fairy. As it begins to make its way towards her, Hibiki stops to admire it...

Only to give a small yelp when it promptly claws her.]

Wh-wha-?

[She is completely caught off guard, making the fairy's attack even easier. It latches onto the small girl's arm, its claws digging at her sleeve and nicking her hand in the process, leaving it chilled and numb. In a panic, Hibiki tries to pull away, accidentally slamming her bracelet into the ground as she falls.]

[Hibiki blinks in surprise as the screen comes up, but once it registers, she quickly begins her plea for aid even as her voice cracks with fear.]

S-someone, help! There's a monster or--or something. I don't-

[She is cut off with a terrified squeak as the fairy gets the jump on her.]

Then I'll be right there!

[She'll be running around in the Sigyn district searching for any signs of the younger girl.]

I'm around in the same district! If you see anyone wearing red and pink, then run towards them. I'll shake the fairies off you. Do you know where you are?

Main street... I think?!

[She frantically looks around as she runs. Red and pink, red and pi-- was that her?

Well, either way, she'll run for that lady with the long hair because anyone is a welcome sight at this point.]

[Good, she's close by. Aerith will be heading over there as fast as her feet can take her. Once she finds the other girl heading her way, at lightning speed, she'll be getting into a batter's position with a frying pan in her hands.]

So you're the monster, who was bullying her!

[Once the girl ran past her, Aerith will be swinging her weapon as hard as can. A rather loud bang noise will be heard as the fairy has been hit.]

I hope this will teach you a lesson in manners! Bullying a child is the worst thing to do -- human or not. [She'll turn around wondering if the other girl was close by.] It's gone now. Are you okay?

[Hibiki actually stopped when Aerith began attacking the fairy, instinctively turning to see when she heard that loud banging sound. W-Wow...]

I... Ah, I'm okay.

[~~Cue the FFVII victory fanfa--oh wait, wrong game.~~ Aerith can't help feel both amused and a little embarrassed over all this, it's been a while since she's saved anyone on her own.]

I'm glad. It must have been a really scary experience, right? But you were really brave. Was this your very first experience meeting a monster?

But all I could do was run...

[It takes a moment of thought before she can answer the second question with a slow shake of her head.]

That... was not the first one...

Sometimes being able to run away is one of the bravest things to do. Not many people have the courage to get away when something frightens them, a few tend to freeze on the spot and get into bigger trouble than before. You didn't freeze, so it was a lot easier to help you.

[She smiles and kneels down slightly.]

You did a very good job taking care of yourself for someone so young especially against a monster like this one. I might not know anything about you or your homeworld, but I stand by my opinion about you -- you're very brave girl.

[She blushes heavily at the compliments, but at the same time...]

But... I couldn't do anything to stop it. And I was scared the whole time.

[Oh, so cute. Aerith can't help feel both amused and impressed by her persistance.]

True, you couldn't, but there might be another way to make up for it. As I said before, fear isn't really a weakness -- it can also be a strength. [Extending a friendly hand.] You have the ability to heal others, right?

[She looks about ready to protest when she decides to drop it in favor of answering the nice lady's second question.]

That's right. I am a healer here.
