It's not even a possibility anymore at this point, it's just a fact. There's no way we're going to survive a war with our own people dragging us down.

It is unfortunately how war works. There will be casualties. We have to think on how to limit them rather than save everyone. Saving everyone is an impossible feat. But from what I've seen, no one is willing to think on those terms, so, I'm going to just busy myself with my crosswords until I'm needed.

Yeah, that much is true. I can accept that not everyone can be saved, but I'll at least definitely save the people I care for, even if that sort of thinking might make me selfish.
