❖ video (accidental) 01
[There is this guy going around picking up every single piece of trash he sees. He doesn't seem to be aware that the video feed is on.]
There's some here too.
[Could he be a janitor, maybe?]
It'll take me all day to clean up this city.
[Cleaning up cities is totally normal.]
This would be easier if I had a broom to work with. [Pause. He's probably asking for too much.]
Well, now's not the time to complain. I'd better do a thorough job cleaning.
Someone's going to benefit from my actions. That's all that matters. Might as well make it worth it.

video;
The Grail chooses those sincerely need it, unless it did not find enough Masters by the time the next war starts. [Ironic, a he's repeating the very same words Tokiomi said to him three years before. He never heard of a master being selected at a young age, however.] When did you receive your command seal?
video;
...
[That makes him feel sort of conflicted. The only thing he's really wanted to do with his life is to become a hero. Shirou didn't necessarily need to participate in war to achieve that.
He knew it was a goal that was so far out of reach, but he didn't want to give up. It's concerning how Kotomine speaks of the grail like it's a living and breathing thing that can choose master's based off their magus lineage.
The only spell Shirou was capable of was Tracing. It wasn't very useful for a magus, but he had found some purpose for it.
That question manages to stop Shirou's train of thought for a moment.]
Sometime after Lancer attacked me in the shed.
[You already died once that night Shirou. Lancer just went in for the finishing blow. Remember that time you got round house kicked 20 meters across the backyard? Funtimes. You don't fight Lancers with posters Shirou.]
Saber was summoned and she protected me that night.
video;
That is what a Servant should do, lest you remember.
[This boy was the last master to be picked by the Grail and his Servant is Saber? This wasn't covered with Tokiomi's studies at all, so Kirei's trying to figure out how this happened.
And how is the shed relevant to this conversation anyway?]
Was Lancer aware you were a master?
video;
It's stated in the rules that civilians who witness the Holy Grail War are to be terminated on the spot.
[As cruel as it is, that's the reality of it.]
By some chance I witnessed Lancer and Archer's battle. He prioritized killing me over finishing his battle with Archer.
[People die when they are killed.]
video;
Was the Grail that desperate for a master...
[He's murmuring this, but Shirou might be able to here it.]
That's not unusual. A Servant's priorities are to disengage or elimate any outsiders no matter what battle they are in. You must be a competent master if you manage to summon a Servant that quickly.
[Rejoice, Shirou. People have not been killed to go die yet.]
video;
I'm no expert on the grail. You're asking the wrong person.
[Amateur Magus ahoy.
Shirou does hear it, but he doesn't make a comment verbally. He does glare at Kirei slightly for it. ]
You're wrong. I'm a complete amateur and I had no idea what I had gotten myself into.
...
[If Rin didn't use her Jewel on Shirou that night he would have been dead.
People die when they are killed. My wife is an oyster. Please marry me.]
Saber lent her blade to me and we fought together in the holy grail war. Let me say this now, but I never saw the conclusion to that battle.
video;
A complete amateur-
[Is it him, or did the war turn into some kind of farce if they let this boy in?]
-ah. If you know how to fight properly, than you are fit to be in the war even if you put your life on the line. An ill-fitted move, and your Servant should have protected you first and foremost.
[Shirou what did you do to Kirei he's actually scolding you]
Is there a reason why you never finished your Servant's battle? Did the other Servant withdraw?
[Cry I accept without hesitation. Let's go off to Oysterland for our honeymoon]
video;
[With a majestic reinforced poster.]
It couldn't have been helped.
[Let him think about it.]
No. It was because our battle was interrupted as soon as I arrived here on a God's whim.
[Oysterland yeahh. Can we bring [old] with us?]
Did anything of importance happen while you were here?
