If anyone is hearing this--or seeing this, I suppose, as this device is apparently capable of transmitting video recordings as well as sound--I would like to have a few things clarifed. The maid has already helpfully informed me of the basics, but was unwilling to tell me much else.

Am I to understand that every single person brought here is expected to stay in this city for an indefinite amount of time? And that everyone has been given an ability of some sort?

I thought as much, but it was worth asking. If the gods put that much effort into transporting everyone here, I doubt they would want their soldiers-to-be escaping so easily.

Equally troubling is that they said our home worlds will end when this world is destroyed in their Ragnarok. The options for us are slim.

Yes...someone kindly provided me with Odin's speech. I find it fascinating that despite the greater number of Christian believers, the Norse myths apparently hold precedence over every world in the universe. Rather remarkable, though, as you said, it does leave us with very few options.

Especially as we have no reliable method of determining whether he was telling the truth.

You may have to ask the house of Loki for such - words has it that they can read some thoughts, though I doubt they will get much from these so called "gods". After all, if they placed these abilities onto us, they can very well have protection against them.

Yes. I have yet to see their members use it actively, or anyone reporting any use. Then again, this is the Loki house.
