1st hunt [video]
[Mary's face flickers into view, showing a very confused-looking teenage girl who's staring into the camera (bracelet) with the intensity of a brain surgeon mid-operation. After a moment she seems to become aware that it's on and broadcasting, starts slightly, then sits back, talking at the camera with distinct awkwardness.]
Oh, god- is this even working? I- I think so. Okay, okay. [Clearing her throat and kind of sitting up a little.] Hi. My name is Mary Campbell and I know I'm not the only person trapped here.
[Deep breath. On closer view, she looks rattled. Like she's been crying, but long enough ago that she can hide it somewhat.] I don't know if anyone out there can hear me or if you know me, but I need help. If anybody can tell me what's really going on- and if there's any way to wake up. [Deep breaths, Mary. Keep it together.] I'd just really appreciate it.
[She takes a quick breath and moves as if to turn it off, but then abruptly spits out-] I'm in Sigyn. [She pronounces it wrong.] If that means anything to anyone. I don't know if it does. I don't know anything.
[A grimace (she knows she's losing her composure) and she turns the thing off abruptly.]

I can't change it. There's nothing I can do, you're proof of that, don't you see?

Still, after a few minutes of quiet punctuated by harsh, uneven breaths, a low sound escapes her that sounds stunningly young.]
I don't wanna die.

Think anyone does? I've been there, it's not pretty.
[Way to be an asshole to your own mother, Dean.]

...You have?
[She sounds completely devastated. Because holy shit, this is her son. How can this be her life? Her legacy? Oh god.]

Made a deal for Sammy's life, went to Hell a year later. I got pulled out, though. Heaven's had plans for our family since before it existed.

[Both of her kids. Dead. Dead in their twenties, by the sound of it, and oh god she can't. There's only one thing for her to hold onto in all of that.]
God. At least... there really is a Heaven.
[Which says something about the world she lives in. Her entire life, her entire childhood saturated in darkness and evil- in Hell, with no concept of Heaven. The idea of any light in the world to balance it is such a relief to her.]

Yep, it's everything people say it is. You get your own little slice of paradise once you're up there.

Oh good, at least there's a silver lining. When my kids die again at least they'll go somewhere nice.
no subject
Yeah, well, everyone dies. At least we've saved a lotta people on the road to an early grave.

Dean, you suck at being comforting right now. So much.]

He groans and runs a hand over his face again.]
Look, I'm crap at this. Always have been. Let me buy you dinner or something? Please?

[She finally opens her eyes and looks at him again. It's hard. Christ, it's so hard.]
God. I can see it.
