3rd Spark || Video (Action for Sigyn's house/district)

So, if the dragon is to believed, there's a war coming, and we're all expected to participate. [He pauses, then shakes his head.] No, maybe not expected, but if someone's planning on attacking the city, then it affects all of us anyway. With the walls sealing us in, we've nowhere else to go.

That means we'll be seeing more of what happened--the fires, the injuries--and we need to be prepared when they strike next. I don't know about the newer folk, but a lot of us who were here since the beginning have been practicing the powers the gods gave us. I think...if we're going to give ourselves a good chance of surviving this war, we should all try to work together...help each other.

[There's a pause as he fiddles with something off-screen.] I was thinking, each house should have a few people volunteer to teach the newer members how their powers work. We all sort of blundered through it the first time around, but I don't think we have the time to do that anymore. Not if the dragon and its companions are serious about the war.

Anyway, Sigyn's part of the city has a hospital, and the healers there are--[Whatever he's about to say next is lost in a sudden yelp. Merlin jerks his hand back and frowns at it, just as a smallish form practically launches itself at him.

And down he goes, flailing his arms as he falls off his chair. The bracelet manages to catch the words that sound suspiciously like "Ow! What was that for, Arch--" before the video cuts off.]

[Usually Ezio doesn't reply to posts here, he keeps to himself and lurks where possible. After all, the second rule of the Creed is to be discreet.

But he catches himself laughing at the sudden tackling of the boy, and there is a grin onscreen as a result.]

[You get a few second of blurry picture as Merlin bravely fends off his attacker.]

A...a little, yeah. [His face reddens a bit as a small owl finally swoops down and perches on his shoulder, looking very disgruntled.]

[Whatever just happened to Merlin, he's going to think that it was a prank and dismiss it.]

There's um... [excuse him, he's still patting himself off while he sits up on the floor.] there's a hospital in that district.

If you or anyone you know was injured badly after the dragon appeared, there are healers there who can help.

[Practicing powers sounded like a really good idea after what the dragon did to the city...but what got her jumping was something launching itself at the wizard. Weird thing to see while looking at network... It looked like he was in the house so Sora heads to his room and knocks on his door.]

Merlin-san? Is everything ok?

[dragonspeak]

I'm fine!! [Some scrambling sounds as he pushes himself up.] Just...you know, a bit... [embarrassed people saw that when he was trying to be helpful] winded.

Uh... You probably get this a lot, I'm guessing, but does this sort of thing happen in this place all the time? The whole angry dragon, spooky prophecy, ominous war message stuff?

I'm kind of new here, and I was just...you know. Wondering.

Nah, that was the first time we've seen something like that.

[He's on the chair again, looking a bit ruffled, and the small form keeps swooping in and out of the video behind him.]

Before, it was just us exploring the city and learning about the place. The gods never mentioned a war.

[He smiles widely at her through the video.]

I hadn't thought about the powers -- probably 'cause neither of Hel's seems very much useful right now! But I don't mind teaching newcomers about them -- I've done it once before already!

Ne ... does Merlin-san think we should have some kind of check in system? Maybe if someone from each floor in each house has the job of checking those people are safe in an emergency? The groups could each choose a meeting place -- or maybe we should put together emergency response teams. If there was a healer and someone from Heimdall with power boosting on each team ...

Hel... [He takes a second to pull up Sam's information on the houses.] Controlling shadows and possession? I dunno, I think we could figure something out. Might take some time, though.

A check in system? [visibly brightens] You know, that's actually pretty brilliant. The more organised we are, the smoother this will all go. You think we should have a...gathering to discuss all of this? Maybe get volunteers?

So we're in war.

[My, this is grim. It wasn't something he had been expecting. But Cheriour is used to it- back home, he's already in the middle of a war. A quiet one, but a war neverthelesss.]

I like the teaching idea. It would not waste time with those willing to learn...

Guess so, yeah.

[Heavy sigh. And then, hopefully: ] You want to help, then?

Whoa! A-Are you okay over there? [Spike was about to comment on Merlin's idea, buuuut owlattack takes precedence.]

Fine! [Merlin's hand appears in front of the bracelet, waving like it could dispel Spike's worry. The rest of Merlin follows soon after as he climbs off the floor.]

Not hurt or anything, not really.

[ she's not paying much attention to the end of the feed, but more of what he said in his broadcast. ]

Do you really think we're going to have to fight...?

I don't know...there's a good chance. I mean, the dragon flew into the city just to deliver its message, so what's going to stop the others from entering?

Not everyone's going to fight, but if they bring the war to us, instead of the other way around, I don't see much of a choice. We'll have to protect ourselves.

[Hnnn, Popura really doesn't like the idea of a war. As an elementary school student part-time waitress, she really doesn't have the right kind of experience for that sort of thing.

Oh, but. He was pounced.]

[A few minutes later, Merlin appears in the screen again, looking a bit winded, but otherwise just fine.]

Yeah, was just...surprised. That's all.

[ Tavros isn't really paying attention until he hears the thump. Then he's jumping and looking nervously around. Backtracking a few steps to find the source. ]

Are you, uh, alright?

[Some more muffled sounds from behind the door. Are you worried yet, Tavros?]

That's a good idea! I...don't know if some of the powers we have in Freya will be much help. All we have is Charm and that Power Transfer thing... --Um, but if there's anything else to do we could probably help!

Freya? [Once again referring to Sam's guide, scanning it until he finds the house's information.] That's the house with...attraction and transferring energy, right?

[Looks off to the side, thinking.] We might not know what to do with that now, but you can bet someone will think of something. Never mind the war right now, though--everyone still deserves a chance to properly learn about their abilities.

[Nezumi is, once again, in costume. This time, however, there's one of the locals with a slightly more defined face stepping around him, pinning his new costume into place so that they final adjustments can be made - the previous one having been destroyed in the attack.

His smile is soft, unsure.]

I'm afraid in a war, my power will be rather useless. Unless we can sing the dragons to sleep.

[Merlin watches the helper for a moment, taking in the slight changes to the usual greyish look, then turns back to "Eve".]

I dunno, I'm sort of hoping that might work. It's a lot better--more peaceful--than having people fight it.

[Please note that he just started talking so fast his words blurred together. A beat, and then he nods, looking satisfied.]
