A lot of people ask about the gods when they get here and they keep talking about them after, too. It made me think. We don't have any gods where I'm from, but we have a government.

Mr. Odin is the one who keeps things running here, so he's kind of like the President Snow of Asgard. [Rue frowns.] Except...nicer. Some people in Panem like the government, some people don't. Some people here like the gods, and some people don't. [It's a match! Kind of.] I kind of realized I don't really know a lot about the governments in everybody else's world, and now I'm really, really curious. So, now I'm asking!

What are the governments in your worlds like?

Oh, and one more thing! [She holds up a few glass decorations.] I'm experimenting with colors and shapes right now, so I have some extras I can give away. If nobody wants them, I'm gonna use them to decorate our cafe.

[Actually, that isn't a bad idea, now that she's said it.] Ummm never mind, I'm gonna to put some up anyway. But you can still come and get one! I'll be at the Safehouse in Freya district!

Those are beautiful, Rue. Where did you learn to do that?

From my Maestro! He started teaching me other stuff first, but he's really good at painting and other artsy things.

So now he teaches me how to blow glass, too!

Your Maestro? [ Katniss can't help but smile. ] And who's that, little bird?

[ Blowing glass sounds like something District Eight might do. ] Is it fun? It looks like you're really enjoying it.

Leonardo! He's teaching me another language, too. I saw some of the natives here making things with glass and he said he could teach me if I wanted to learn.

[She beams.]

It's a lot of fun. We never get to make pretty things like this back in District 11.

Oh, he is? What language are you learning?

[ She's so proud, so happy, that Rue can have a life here. A life all children deserve to have. ]

District twelve, either. I think that would be Eight's area. And even then, they would never get to keep them.

He says it's called Italian. I don't think we have it in our world, but it sounds really pretty whenever Leonardo speaks it.

[Rue nods, a frown puckering at her lips now.]

Yeah. Everything nice goes to the Capitol.
