Performance 001 [Video/Action]

[The video turns on as a teenage girl, wearing a blue silk cape held together by a diamond-shaped clasp and black dress, red neck scarf and baby blue silk hat stares intently a a piece of paper in her opposite hand. Looking up, she notices that hey, pushing the button actually did something! Her surprise quickly turns to delight, and she breaks into a huge smile.]

Well this certainly isn't the Wonder Bar, but one place is as good as another right? After all, a performer's gotta be quick on their toes! I just wish however took me would have asked first, I would have said yes...

Anyway, this letter and the lady that gave it to me are right about one thing--this place definitely needs more color, so let me help liven things up! My name is Trucy Wright, magician and CEO of the Wright Anything Agency and once I find a place to perform, I'll start up my famous magic act in this Asgard place! Please come see me!

[She looks around her surroundings, then adds:] I guess the lions are one way to liven things up. Not my first choice, but I like it.

Oh, I'm not worried! Only saying that lions wouldn't have been my first choice. Now elephants, they're magical!

Max... Max... I don't think so. Is he a magician too?

I love elephants! They're gentle and kind, not like some monkeys I could mention.

He is! Max is the best! He can fly through the sky, and do tricks and make everyone scream! He even won the Grand Prix!

[For a second, Apollo just stares, dumbfounded. It's not that he isn't glad to see her, but this place isn't safe. He'd rather she was back home with Mr. Wright (who must have gone back home, he's sure of it). He might be frozen in surprise for a moment, but it doesn't take him long to act, grabbing his bracelet to (loudly) reply.]

Trucy--! [Not only is she here, she's surrounded by lions! S-sob. Why is this happening? Even though Trucy appears quite at ease and is not being attacked, that doesn't stop him from worrying about her.]

Don't get to close to those lions. It's not safe!

[But warning her about lions probably isn't enough. He can't leave her all on her own here.

He's already putting on his jacket and heading outside. Even though he doesn't know where he's going yet.]

Are you all right? Where are you? I'll come get you--right away! Don't go anywhere--except away from the lions. I mean, don't make any sudden moves, but stay away from them.

[Only one person would be that loud, and that's...] Oh, hi, Polly! You're here too?

[Jeez Apollo, they're just lions. You're making it sound like they're something really scary, like music critic visiting the Borscht Bowl Club or a debt collector or something!] They're fine, don't get worked up about it.

I'm not really sure where I am. The lady in the room I woke up in told me to go this way to reach the, um... Loki House. So somewhere between there and the Loki House. [Yeah, even she's aware of how useless that information is, so she's looking around to see if there's something else she can work with.] Oh, there's something called Sky's Prize! Come meet me so we can check it out, Polly! [Nothing phases her, so she's going to make your life super difficult, big bro!]

[ ...First Apollo, then her... and now Trucy?

Past the surprise--and the slight worry at Trucy noting lions nearby--Lamiroir has to smile. She was a magician through and through, taking so easily to the strangeness of this city. It's with that slight smile that she turns the video on and greets Trucy. ]

They're tame for lions, but I would still take care. ...But if you start your show here, I will be sure to come see it.

Of course, animals must always be treated with care. They're as much of a partner on stage as a human is! And really? Woo hoo I have one customer, and with one I'll have a sold out crowd in no time.

[Wait a minute, you look familiar...] Ah! Lamiroir? You're totally Lamiroir! I almost didn't recognize you without your little mask thing. How are you? Did you go through with your eye operation?

I suppose that has been another of my trademarks. [ She wishes Trucy had recognized her, but...it's very understandable, even expected, so the twinge in her smile is brief. ] And yes. I went through with the operation, and it was a success. So your disappearances, reappearances... I can see them all.

[ She could also probably explain how they're done because l o l former magician's assistant, buuut that's another matter. One she's not sure how to broach just yet. And that's not quite what she meant with the lions, but she can hardly be surprised. ]

What about you, Trucy? Have you been well?

[prosecutory]

[Trucy Wright. So she returned...and she was as cheery as ever. Not only that, she didn't seem to remember her last visit to Asgard.]

The gods are not ones to ask. They insist.

While the lions seem docile enough, do be careful.

[She squints at the newcomer on her braceletcam. Edgeworth, you look real familiar...]

Hasn't anyone ever taught them about common courtesy? It's bad form to just not show up to my own performance back home. If they had just told me in advance, I could have temporarily shut down my show at the Wonder Bar and everyone would be happy... Well, except the regulars, but they'll live.

Don't worry about me, mister, I've been around wild animals before! [...When she was 5.]

[prosecutory]

[He blinks, and his eyes widen when she tells him she was around wild animals before. Well, sure, she was a magician and all, but...still. But he regains his composure and decides not to press the issue.]

E-even if you are...experienced, they can be unpredictable.
