Performance 001 [Video/Action]
[The video turns on as a teenage girl, wearing a blue silk cape held together by a diamond-shaped clasp and black dress, red neck scarf and baby blue silk hat stares intently a a piece of paper in her opposite hand. Looking up, she notices that hey, pushing the button actually did something! Her surprise quickly turns to delight, and she breaks into a huge smile.]
Well this certainly isn't the Wonder Bar, but one place is as good as another right? After all, a performer's gotta be quick on their toes! I just wish however took me would have asked first, I would have said yes...
Anyway, this letter and the lady that gave it to me are right about one thing--this place definitely needs more color, so let me help liven things up! My name is Trucy Wright, magician and CEO of the Wright Anything Agency and once I find a place to perform, I'll start up my famous magic act in this Asgard place! Please come see me!
[She looks around her surroundings, then adds:] I guess the lions are one way to liven things up. Not my first choice, but I like it.

This Loki god guy's a performer too. I wonder what his specialty is... [She pauses for a moment to think about what a guy named "Loki" might want to play up in an act.
...And then she returns to reality.] And you said you were in "Odin," right? What's his specialty?
[Look at this disappointed face.] Apollo... You really should know by now that magic is the art of misdirection. It's not really "magical powers."
no subject
I don't know if Loki's a performer... [He's dubious on that count.] But Odin House is for people interested in learning and knowledge. Intellectual things. Miles Edgeworth's there, too. [The famous lawyer! Maybe he's sort of proud about that.]
And I know that, but this is the other kind of magic. The actual magical kind. It's--
[He breaks off. It's easier to show her than try to explain, so Apollo conjures up a fireball and suspends it above his hand for a few seconds. At first he hadn't been all that happy about having some strange power, but now, he has to admit, it looks kind of cool. He allows himself to feel impressed with himself.]
See? Fire magic.
no subject
...Edgeworth... Edgeworth... Edge...worth... The name sounds really familiar.
[She totally forgets all about Edgeworth, though, when you make that fireball. She glances all around your arm, trying to figure out the trick... Only to realize there is none when she gets a good look at your face.] H-H-How can you do that?
no subject
I told you, we all get magic powers here, and mine's fire magic. You must have one, too. [He does look rather smug at the moment. His fire powers have increased recently.]

You know, now that you say that the lady who I met at the castle said that I could move things with my mind, but I thought she was talking about being able to bring in crowds through sheer willpower.
no subject
Yeah, that's--probably not what she meant. [She doesn't think she can do that, does she?] You have telekinesis, then. That does sound useful. [And practical application is what magic is all about.]
no subject
Telekinesis, huh? So I really can move stuff with my mind? Hmm...[See Polly you're learning!]
no subject
[He nods.] You should be able to use it right away, though it'll get more powerful the longer you're here. [Although they may have different ideas of the proper usage of magic. Possibly.
Then Apollo suddenly remembers where they are. Surrounded by wild beasts.]
Oh, we should go somewhere less--liony.
no subject
Hmmm I wonder what kinds of things I can do with it... [She's just going to ponder this, carry on, Apollo.
Oh wait, damn, you're saying something? What now. Oh. Wimp.] Lead the way, Polly!
no subject
Just be careful with it.
I can show you to your house. I know where it is. It's further into the district. [He'll just guide her away from that nightclub, while being careful of the lions. What has his life become?] And let me know if you have any other questions about this place.
no subject
I'm a professional.
[She'll be following you without complaint.] When did you get here?
no subject
I know. You are. [He smiles at this. Trucy being here does make him feel better, in spite of his worry.] I bet you can use it in your act somehow. Not that you need it.
I've been here more than a month now. [He pauses, blinks.] It feels like longer, somehow. But a month's long enough to be stuck in this weird place.
no subject
Don't forget! [She smiles back at him. Maybe it's because she's got 7 years worth of training on how to make people feel better?] Maybe I can finally master levitation... and it would be real too!
But Polly, I just saw you yesterday....
no subject
How could I forget? You're the greatest, right? [As far as he's concerned, she is. Not that he knows a lot about magicians.] If anyone can do it, I bet you can. [And that could be why, but also, it makes him feel less lonely.]
Yesterday? Really? But that's impossible. I know I've been here that long. I remember coming here. I was on my way to work, and suddenly I appeared in that castle. [He'd almost fallen off his bike in his shock.]
no subject
I know it was yesterday. I wonder if time works weird here.
no subject
[Apollo believes in supporting her talent. However, Trucy's plan is starting to sound alarming already, quite frankly.]
Hoops? I... I don't know about that. I don't think I'm cut out for show business. Too--showy.
[He nods.] There are people from all different times and worlds here, so it makes sense that it would.
no subject
That's just stage fright talking. It's really no different than being in court--except you don't have another person's life on the line when your performing. [...Usually.]
Really? What kinds of people? [She met a few while waiting, but she's real good at playing dumb.]
