With all the collective knowledge gathered here over the seasons, each individual is likely to have questions to which there is still no clear answer. I'm sure it would be the case even within our own worlds, where there are things about yourself you don’t want others to know.

With that, I ask one such question.

If you knew one day you would no longer be yourself, and carry out the will to become a ruthless killer, how would you stop yourself? No matter how hard you fought to fight against or prepare for that fate, it was for nothing because the new you would be able to tear those preparations down easily?

Some have claimed that arriving in this city is nearly the same as having a blank slate; regardless of that, there are inherit parts of yourself that will follow you no matter what. Good deeds or bad, whatever bonds you may have formed, what if one day you decide you want it all gone by using that very same trust against them?

Because you have that trust, no one would ever suspect it was you and this new mentality will have erased any attachments that would get in the way of fulfilling that goal. They are your unknowing puppets until you no longer have use for them, and then they are disposed of without tracing back to you.

What would you do if you knew this fate was fast approaching you?

[Nope, totally not anoning this one. She'd dealt with this very situation. Well, a variant of it, but all the same...]

I had Merlin, Eridan and Regina shackle me to a chair in a sealed room at hands, ankles and tail, with a cowl over my head to prevent body control for a full day every new moon just in case I would go crazy because of my hormones. When someone was crazy enough to break me out, I had Loki graft runes to my spine that took care of the problem. Painfully, but they still work.

Whatever problem you're having, there's ways to help. Is this a permanent shift, or a temporary one?

I'd....try find some way to change it. The same as I would if I'd known about the walkers back home. I'm not saying I haven't...killed. I have. But it's always been for good reason. I'd trust if necessary that my friends would....stop me.

If you have already experienced such things, then you know are aware of the burden of trust and how it would hurt them should they fail.

if there's absolutely nothing i can do to change it i would warn my friends about it.
that way they'd know what to look for and i couldn't do too much damage.
i might be able to undo my own preparations, but if i don't know about theirs, they'd be harder to dismantle.
